Use your Mac OSX as a Wirelss Adapter for your XBOX 360

Step 3: Now

Your router should have an IP Address, and it is usually 192.168.1.1, check on the bottom of the router to make sure. There should also be a username and password down there too, remember these things. Now go to your internet browser and enter in your router's IP Address in the navigation bar, it will ask you to give a username and password, does this sound familiar? Once you do that, you should go to "Status" on this web page and write down what your IP Address is. Every single one is unique.

You really don't need this step if you know your router's password and information all ready.

I guess you're on the New Xbox experience. Go to the "My Xbox" section and all the way on the right there's system settings. I'm sure you can find your way around from there. Good luck!

Might want to check the manufacturer's website if 192.168.1.1 doesn't work. Found out mind was ever so slightly different.

thanks for that adding that advice.

The standard address should be 192.168.1.1 and the username and password should both be "admin". hope this helps.

Worked perfectly after I realised that I had to press "Apply Now" on my mac's system preferences once I'd changed the settings. Beautify clear explanation, thanks!

In step 3 it asks for a password and username. What would those be?
bsblade (author) in reply to cj72396Jun 20, 2008. 7:15 PM
they are usually both admin. it should be on the bottom of your router. just try using admin for the username and password.
