Using PSP as computer Joystick and then controlling your computer with the PSP

Step 3 Starting on PSP and testing.

Click the WifiController application inside the PC folder of the WifiController folder. Turn on your PSP. Go to game- memory stick- and then click on wifi controller. Select your connection. Then wifi controller should connect to your computer. If it does not, retry the previous steps or post it in your comment. After this, on control panel (classic view), and click on game controllers. Then click on PPJoy Virtual Joystick 1 and then Properties. After this, pressing buttons on your PSP will make the axes, buttons, or point of view hat move. Try out these and calibrate the PSP analog stick. Your PSP has successfully been connected to your computer. Now to make your PSP a computer mouse and keyboard.

Hi, can anyone PLEASE help me?????? Everything works fine untill I run the app on my PSP. It finds my internet and configures it, but then it said this :

WiFiController: Connecting to Access Point.
Connection state 0 of 4: Idle.
Connection state 2 of 4: Starting up.
Connection state 6 of 4: Idle.

What now????

mine is wificontroller: connecting .... connection state 1 of 4 connection state 2 of 4 do you need internet connection for connect pc??? or you just need pc with a wifi...i cannot connect with my pc..

hey... i have a slight problem i hope some1 can help me out... im currently running v5.00 m33-6 cfw on my psp slim.. i followed all the steps carefully, but when i try to run the wifi controller on my psp it just says 8002014C error, "The game could not be started" can any1 help me out? i even disabled all the plugins and tried changing the kernel to 1.5... please people im a real newbie and i would really like to get this thing working... thanx

It works on PSP 2000 with FW 5.03. Though, for that I had to arrange somethings for myself, things that weren't written here. Like for an example running the file WiFi Controller inside the PC folder.

A heads up: This DOES NOT work on the PSP Slim and Lite. I tried it on mine running 3.90 M33-3 CFW and I got an 8002014C error, "The game could not be started". Running it through eLoader also crashes the software.

it worked on mine. I think your psp Came with some different main board that causes that problem

Sony created an entirely different motherboard for PSP's when the slim version came out. It has a microprocessor on it specifically designed to combat homebrew on PSP's. There are ways to overcome it, but I won't say here.

Sorry about that. As I said, I really haven't done much more PSP homebrew since this instructable. Maybe try the other folder? (1.5, 2.0)

when i start the programme in the psp , it works fine until the part when it searches for my internet. it finds my internet and configures it . when it says wificontroller: connecting .... connection state 1 of 4 connection state 2 of 4 connection state 3 of 4 ..... after that it freezes and deosnt move what do i do and im sure i didnt miss anything out

You might want to download the newest version of wificontroller. I listed an older one.

I have followed every instuction to the letter, but when i get to PSP testing and select the Wii controller, it just tells me the information is corrupt.

my test of the game controller part failed. i nid help here on this. from the psp it is connected but when i test the controller, the axis doesn't moves. any idea how to make it work?

Do you have homebrew on your PSP? If you don't, try pandora battery or whatever it is these days. What OS are you on?

Hey there, I can't seem to get my Wifi application running. I tried all the different game folders, etc. And still nothing. Also, I am currently running V4.01 M33-2 firmware. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hmm. The latest version of Wifi Controller might tell you where to put it for newer firmware, and if you find out, please let me know so I can add it to the instructable.

how do u find your proxy settings etc... because idk that's that part im stuck at... for my infrastructure wifi mode. Proxy settings(port number and and wuts the adress??) ur ip adress? and how to u find ur port number for the proxy server on infrastructure wifi mode ? plz message me at [e-mail]

I really have no clue what you are talking about. No proxy settings, nor port number is needed. And yes, the IP address is needed.

Go to the XMB on your PSP, then down to network connections, then infrastructure, then delete config and make a new one.

hi guys.... i have the same error es bobwa.. y go to game then memory stick and i find the wifi controller.. when I press X to open it.. it says that the data is corrupted and won't open... i am running 3.03 firmware.... should i get a downgrade or update it ? i think a downgrade would be better but i don't trust them very much :S hope you can help me....

What Firmware Version of the PSP do you have? Settings- System Settings- System Information.
