this is one that someone else made... I saw it and said "I can do that" So I went down the page to the picture of the assault rifle from the side (the rifle's profile, if you will) and blew up that picture, using my own trial and error, to a life-size print out. Then traced it on the wood. Cut it out using a scroll saw to get the basic silhouette of it. Then over the next two weeks I found time in my schedule to cut out the detailing with a router, then I borrowed a carpenter's planer from a friend I know to angle the top of the rifle. I also got the same friend to help me drill a hole down where the barrel went. I drilled the hole for the flash light and LED display screen... I put an LED in the cavity that I made and put a piece of plexiglass in front of it with black electrical tape on the back with the compass, "32," and the "x [:o" <= (that was supposed to be a bullet...) carved into it (to let the blue light show through). Then I primed and painted it, got some screws and put plexiglass plates on the side and also used some screws for aesthetics... that is really all I did... looks like a lot... cuz it was... but really simple steps... I guess what I am getting at is, I doesn't require a whole instructable to do it... Thanks for liking it :)]
