Picture of Valentine's Treasure Chests
I am going to show you how to make a couple "treasure chests" that you could give to your Valentine.  The two I'll be making are a 'message in a bottle' and a 'massage kit', but you could put anything you want in them.

Step 2: Prepare the Box

Stain the outside of the box with your choice of wood stain.  When it is dry, cut the red felt to size and glue to all the inside surfaces of the box.  Line the bottom with the decorative excelsior.

Step 3: Message in a Bottle

For the message in a bottle, print your letter, poem or whatever on the cream colored paper.  Cut the paper down to the size you want then slightly burn the edges with the lighter.  Be careful not to burn too much, just ignite and then blow it out.  The paper will smolder for a few seconds and burn a bit farther.  When you have gone all the way around, roll the paper up and tie it with the string.  Insert it into the bottle and put the cork in.

Step 4: Massage Kit

For the massage kit, print out some coupons for massages onto the business card paper.  You can get templates for printing business cards from the web if your word processor does not already have one.  Put the cards and the massage oil into the box.

Step 5: That's all

Of course, you can put whatever you want into the box.  The more personalized, the better.  I hope this gives you some ideas.
Those look great! Love the felt interior!
