Vampire Bunny Plushie How-to!

Vampire Bunny Plushie How-to!
It's almost Halloween... don't you need a blood sucking bunny to protect you from ghouls and guard your Halloween candy? Yes you do! Especially since he's so flippin' easy to make.

As a bonus, I actually made this bunny around valentines day for either angsty singles or twilight fans. Halloween works too. He's a multi-use bunny!

Step 1The materials

The materials
Now, I machine embroidered the tummy of my bunny. This step is optional and, obviously, only if you have an embroidery machine. You totally can hand embroider your bunny too though. Materials for the machine embroidery part are marked with a *

So to make your totally awesome bunny plushie, you’ll need:

-fake fur or other fabric for the bunny

-satin for the cape and inner ears

-a toothy anti-Valentine’s Day embroidery design*

-embroidery floss and needle

-cutaway stabilizer*

-water-soluble stabilizer (if you’re using furry fabric for your bunny)*

-toy eyes and back fasteners

-awesome printable templates

-polyfill stuffing

-scissors and pins

A-ha-haaw, perfect! Love vampires and love bunnies, so this is perfect!
Even though it's a stuffed rabbit, it's still more of a vampire than the ones in those Twilight "books".

Know what? these would also make awesome little trick or treat giveaways instead of candy, if they're not too expensive to make. I'd rather my kid get one of these than candy.

My brother would love one of these except in a teddy bear. Hmm maybe I'll make one.

My 5 yo DD and I made this last night. We used some funky zebra fabric for the ears and cape, everything else was in the sewing box. She gave it to her teacher for Halloween. I think we will be making several more of these cute fangy dudes.

Even if you don't have an embroidery machine, It's pretty cheap to get yor design embroided in a store. If the design doesn't have a lot of different colors, it's not very complicated... You can have it for about 2€ (less than 3$) I think.

Good work, and very cute results :P
