Wanting a dairy free answer to that lovely dish Mac and Cheese? This dish hits the cheesy taste spot utilizing nutritional yeast! It's also really simple to make, taking about 10 minutes.

Also this recipe is vegan AND gluten free! Dietary restrictions FTW!

I would really like to try out this recipe, but I live in Europe and had to google Braggs. I really don't know where I could get it - could you recommend a substitute? Also: how much pasta did you use for this amount of sauce? Thanks

You can use soy sauce or tamari. I've seen similar recipes stating that those are options.

You could probably find it near the soy sauce at the super market or health food store. I only know this because that's where I had seen it at a local Whole Foods.

Heads-up: The reason for using Bragg's is that regular soy sauce is a no-no for most celiac/gluten-intolerant people as it contains wheat... I use San-J tamari which is expressly gluten-free. Tamari should be gluten-free as a matter of course but San-J is labeled as such.

BTW I find ground almonds in many recipes to be a bit gritty and where I live almonds are very expensive so instead I use blanched walnuts or cashews pulverized in a cheap coffee grinder I use only for nuts, spices and rice.

This looks delicious. One question -- can you explain more about what nutritional yeast does? What are some other ways to use that. I don't think I've heard of it before.
