Step 1Get all parts

Get all parts
You need just a few things for this project.
1 a little motor of some kind ( i used one from an old cd player)
2 Electrical tape
3 A pen or 2 i prefer the liquid ink ones to roller balls but they both write nice
4 some kind of case for batteries or just tape a battery to the pen
5 Something to weigh on the motor ( i used a capacitor from the cd player)

*insert mandatory vibrator comment here* you can buy "pager motors" from ebay or the internet, or extract them from a old mobile phone, these are small motors that will fit inside the the pen and already have a weight on them

Cool, if it is combined with tiny sensor found in the mobile phone radiation lamp, it can be used as an incoming call or sms notification. It catches radiation from the mobile phone causes the pen to vibrate.

how do you attach the battery pack to the motor. where can i find a rechargeable battery pack like that?

What a huge motor you got there! To obtain a more pen-friendly motor, you should go take the first cellphone you see, smash it open with a hammer, brick, booze bottle, or like implement. Sift through the resulting detritus till you find a cylinder about 3/8" in diameter, with an offset dingus on one end, and wires on the other. Could power it with a CR2032 throwie battery, taped directly on board.

yeah but then it wouldnt have enough power to really vibrate the pen.

Sure it would. Them things vibe pretty fierce. Come to think of it, I'm fairly sure that the same motors are used in vibrating dingle-dangle rings for pervs. If you really wanna get some shake in there, cut open the pen and position the motor's offset dingus, so that it taps the ink tube once per revolution. Even better idea... Get one of them vibey toothbrushes, smash off the brush part. There's a little steel rod in there that's hooked to an offset drive on the motor. Attach the shaft to the pen's ink tube. The pen should just go ape$h!t shaky.

A variable speed control would be a useful addition, create 'doctors handwriting' and 'very elderly handwriting'... L
