Video Camera Fixed microphone boom

Hello. My Instructable is about how to build a  microphone boom that attaches to your camera's tripod connector. I did this so that the noise produced by my camcorder's tape would not be picked up on my microphone.

Step 1 You will need...

To make the boom you will need...
- Red (or any colour) insulation tape
- Two tripod ball bearing joints (harvested from old poundland tripods)
- Araldite super glue (or equivalant)
- A piece of tubing long enough to be out of the way of the camcorders LCD screen. Also helps if it can fit snuggly inside the ball bearing housing.

Good 'ible, bad "gansta" ebonics. You aren't talking to your friends on MSN, you are trying to explain how to make something so using "shorts" like "u" for "you", "wen" for "when" and "wat ya" for "what you" really sullies up you 'ible and makes you look less professional. I agree with Cartermarquis in that more refinement is needed.

Great idea, but your 'ible could use some more refinement. I suggest using a spell checker next time, or going through this one and fix the errors. You should also take some more pictures of the assembly/building process, which would help anyone who wanted to make one on their own. If you didn't take pictures of this one, perhaps make one for a friend and document that build. The 5th step is not really essential, so perhaps you could change it to something like, "The Finished Product", and take some pictures of it in use. I really like the idea, as I know the problems with tape noise transferring to the video. This is a simple solution to a common problem.
