Step 5 Attaching the Guide

For this you will need a bamboo skewer. In order to reduce the weight of the rocket, we are going to cut the skewer in half as shown. Smear a bit of hot glue on one end and stick it to your rocket. And that's it! Your Finished! I have yet to experiment with payloads and such but I assume that you would be able to put a firecracker on top of there. I'll post anything regarding payloads as I fool around with it.

I've included two videos, one with zinc fillings and the other with aluminum. They look pretty much identical to me though :/

i tried this tutorial and its ausome!!!!!!!! The only thing is tho that my rockets go super fast and not like yours. I know that good but yours look cool and mine i have a hard time finding

Ha, yeah, depending on the type of fuse you use, the burn times will be different. Glad the tutorial worked for you!

Nice launch, they aren't too violent. I'm trying to make a match rocket with rolled card for a tube but cant think of a decent bung to contain the thrust? the ends always seem to blow out.

Yea match rockets are tough since weight really determines how well they will work. I've never had much success with match rockets :/

Any suggestions for something to block the end and something to be a nozzle?

I once made rockets out of aluminum foil actually. Try forming a nozzle with some foil. Like this

Card tube + jelly sweet bung + foil nozzle + match powder + PVA glue/match fuse = success. Although I need to trim some weight off my design, it doesn't fly too well right now
