"I'll take any suggestions on what to do with my now-useless giant red brassiere."

Pet hammocks?

Maybe if you stiffen the fabric slightly so that they hang "open" (line them with a sheet of foam and another layer of fabric, effectively making a padded bra), you could call them "hanging love chairs"?

once upon a time I bought a couple of those inflatable inserts or 'Air Elements" that they sell in the kids section at Ikea, Ive always thought they looked for all the world like GIANT breast implants, now I know what to do with them... Christmas presents! The hubby will love them.

Awesome Instructable!

I LOVE it!   My wife and I are putting together an adult themed "play room."  This would be a perfect addition to that.  :)
Mar 11, 2010. 7:22 PMerosser says:
Very nicely executed, and I like the fact that it's recycled foam.

But so enduring and classic an image as the pendulous suspended bosom is too good to lose...  Although it's the labor-intensive option, you could keep them suspended for storage, and "pop them out" when it;s time to use them.

I dunno, I just find the idea of slumping into the embrace of giant cleavage and exclaiming/sighing "BOOBIES!" too hilarious.  And enticing.  :)

And awesome sewing machine you have!  That thing must be a beast.

Nice work!

you are a genuis, but i was wondering if i could make a big hole in it sew in the inside where the stuffing is at, and sit in it?
Mar 11, 2010. 3:17 PMemc2mm says:
Add 1/2  or 5/8 pex tubing for the underwire part - works great - makes a great hula hoop too.
Mar 7, 2010. 6:36 AMKEYBOARDISBROKEN says:
How about making the straps longer- so each beanbag "breast" can rest on the ground.

This should make a more practical seat, whilst keeping the awesome looks.

(assuming the problem was the bags moving when you try to get in)

Mar 11, 2010. 7:32 AMthe_kcar says:
If I were on this project...
I would set the stitching of the red directly to the white.
Then, I'd put in a reinforced, hard frame to the straps.
From there, I would put something of a sweater over the..er..set - could color-coordinate the jacket/shirt/sweater for the seasons [and it would double as something of a love seat]

Classy, yet utterly tasteless...if the kids aren't in their later teens yet, this fixture would likely wind up split off in two separate corners of the rec room, with the strap as a sort of cane back to the beanbag chair...but I'm sure you're considering alternatives...
Mar 11, 2010. 7:34 AMthe_kcar says:
I have to admit, though...I'd probably find a place for something like this, too...with minor alterations, of course...well done!

Mar 9, 2010. 9:53 PMcalgarc says:
you can setup supports for the giant bra, and have people sit in mid air :D

Love it!  This might actually be mildly practical for my house which is very very very small, and being able to hang our chairs on the wall might be a good idea...
Mar 8, 2010. 7:18 AMcaitlinsdad says:
Ummm, what is the equivalent size of that?  I woulda thunk you would have went with an underwire model for more support.
Mar 7, 2010. 9:25 PMmrdepo96 says:
OMG! my mother has had the exact same sewing machine for... ever. cool to see another one
Mar 7, 2010. 8:52 PMJyssa says:
I advise you reinforce the brassiere, reinsert the pillow chairs, and think of it as a hammock. :) What better way to chill out than nestled in a ginormous bosom, suspended in a pleasantly supportive brassiere?
Mar 7, 2010. 8:53 PMJyssa says:
Oh and your wife? She'll come round. You can always toss a blanket over the boobies if they need covering/disguising/the inlaws come round.
