Sorry android and windows users, this will only work on iOS 8.3. iOS 8.3 has brought us a lot of updates on the emoji keyboard, with the most common different skin tones for some of them and a new layout. However there is an Easter egg for the Vulcan Salute. It can also have different skin tones. All you need is your apple devise, iOS 8.3 and the Internet. Let's get started, shall we?

Step 1: Getting the Emoji

The salute won't show up in the keyboard so you will have to copy the actual emoji. To do this press and hold over the emoji then select copy.

Step 2: Finishing

Now that you have copied the emoji, you have to create a shortcut. Go into settings, general, keyboard, then shortcuts. Press + in the upper right hand corner. Under phrase, press and hold then select paste. Then under short cut, put a phrase. I used LLAP for live long and prosper. Hit save then you are done. Have fun! ?
