.THIS ENTIRE WOODEN GIANT WHEEL IS MADE UP OF MANGO CARTON THAT I FOUND FALLEN IN MY BACKYARD. 5V DC MOTOR ROTATES IT AND THE SITTING CHAIR ATTACHED ON IT GIVES IT A REALISTIC EFFECT UNLIKE GIANT WHEEL.PLEASE CLICK ON THE ABOVE LINK (WOODEN GIANT WHEEL).

Step 1: PART 1-COLLECTING OF WOODEN LOGS

AFTER ACQUIRING THE WOODEN CARTON,I DISMANTLED THE ENTIRE CARTON WHICH HELPED ME TO GATHER ENOUGH WOODEN LOGS TO BUILD THE GIANT WHEEL.

Step 2: BUILDING OF 'c' SHAPED ANGLE

FOLLOWING THE ABOVE IMAGES FROM LEFT TO RIGHT,YOU CAN SEE THAT,IN FIRST IMAGE I GATHERED 4 BIG AND 4 SMALL WOODEN LOGS.

IN SECOND,THIRD,FOURTH,FIFTH,SIXTH AND SEVENTH IMAGE AFTER PLACING THE WOODEN LOGS ABOVE EACH OTHER AND DRILLING HOLES ON IT,I FIXED THE WOODEN LOGS TO EACH OTHER WITH 19mm SCREW SIZE.

IN EIGHTH IMAGE,THIS IS HOW IT WOULD LOOK AFTER FOLLOWING THE PROCEDURE.

IN NINTH IMAGE,AGAIN FOLLOW THE ABOVE PROCEDURE TO MAKE ONE MORE LIKE IT.

Step 3: FIXING OF TWO 'C' SHAPED ANGLE TOGETHER

NOW KEEP THAT 'C' SHAPED ANGLES FACING EACH OTHER AND PLACE ONE WOODEN LOG ON THEM AND THEN DRILL HOLE ON BOTH THE SIDES OF THAT WOODEN LOG AND ALSO THE 'C' SHAPED ANGLES AND FIX IT WITH 19mm SCREWS,AS SHOWN IN THE IMAGES FROM 1 TO 11 (FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).

AFTER FIXING THAT WOODEN LOG ON ONE SIDE OF THE 'C' SHAPED ANGLES,FIX THE OTHER WOODEN LOG ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THAT 'C' SHAPED ANGLES AS SHOWN IN IMAGES FROM 12 TO 17(LEFT TO RIGHT).THIS CAN BE DONE BY FOLLOWING THE ABOVE PROCEDURE AS SHOWN IN IMAGES FROM 1 TO 11(LEFT TO RIGHT).

FINALLY AFTER COMPLETING THE ABOVE PROCEDURE,YOU GET A GEOMETRICAL SHAPE CALLED OCTAGON AS SHOWN IN 18th AND 19th IMAGE.

Step 4: MAKING 'C' SHAPED ANGLE MORE RIGID AND STABLE

AFTER JOINING THE TWO 'C' SHAPED ANGLE,WE GET GEOMETRICAL SHAPE CALLED 'OCTAGON'.BUT THIS SHAPE IS NOT SO RIGID AND STABLE.TO MAKE IT MORE STABLE AND RIGID,I AGAIN HAD TO FIX EXTRA WOODEN LOG BEHIND IT.

FOR DOING THIS,I HAD TO AGAIN GATHER FOUR MORE BIGGER WOODEN LOG,AS SHOWN IN IMAGE (3)FROM LEFT TO RIGHT.

AFTER GATHERING THE WOODEN LOGS,I STARTED PLACING IT ON THE FIXED WOODEN LOG,SIMILAR TO ITS SIZE.AFTER PLACING IT,I HAD TO DRILL HOLES ON BOTH THE SIDES OF WOODEN LOG AND GETTING IT FIXED WITH 19mm SCREW SIZE AS SHOWN IN IMAGES (4 TO 7).

REPEAT THE ABOVE PROCEDURE AS SHOWN IN (4 TO 7) IMAGES, TO GET IT FIXED,THE REMAINING WOODEN LOGS.AFTER COMPLETION OF FIXING THE FOUR WOODEN LOGS,THIS IS HOW IT LOOKS,AS SHOWN IN IMAGE (12 AND 13) FROM LEFT TO RIGHT.

Step 5: FIXING OF CENTRE SUPPORT ON THE OCTAGON SHAPE

AFTER MAKING THE OCTAGON SHAPE RIGID AND STABLE,CENTRE SUPPORT HAD TO BUILD ON IT.FOR DOING THIS,I HAD TO AGAIN GATHER TWO BIG AND ONE SMALL WOODEN LOG.AS SHOWN IN IMAGE (1 FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).

TAKING ONE BIG WOODEN LOG AND PUTTING IT BETWEEN THE GAP AS SHOWN IN IMAGE (2 TO 4 FROM LEFT OT RIGHT).AFTER PLACING IT BETWEEN THE GAPS,TWO HOLES HAD TO BE DRILLED ON IT AND FIXING IT WITH THE TWO SCREW SIZED 19mm BETWEEN THE GAPS AS SHOWN IN IMAGES (5 TO 9 FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).AFTER FIXING IT WITH THE SCREWS,THIS IS HOW IT LOOKS AS SHOWN IN THE IMAGE (10 FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).

AFTER FIXING THE WOODEN LOG ON ONE SIDE BETWEEN THE GAPS,NOW PLACE THE OTHER WOODEN LOG ON THE OTHER SIDE BETWEEN THE GAPS AS SHOWN IN IMAGE (11 AND 12 FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).FOR FIXING IT BETWEEN THE GAPS,REPEAT THE ABOVE PROCEDURE AS SHOWN IN IMAGE (5 TO 9 FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).AFTER FIXING THE OTHER WOODEN LOG BETWEEN THE GAPS ON THE OTHER SIDE,THIS IS HOW IT LOOKS AS SHOWN IN IMAGE (17 FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).

NOW FOR FIXING THE TWO WOODEN LOGS PLACED BETWEEN THE GAPS TOGETHER,PLACE ONE SMALL WOODEN LOG BELOW THE TWO FIXED WOODEN LOG AND ONE ABOVE IT AS SHOWN IN IMAGE (18 TO 21 FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).THEN DRILL HOLES ON THE TWO SIDES OF THE WOODEN LOG,ONE PLACED BELOW AND ON THE ONE PLACED ABOVE AS SHOWN IN IMAGE (22 TO 29 FROM LEFT TO RIGHT)

THIS IS HOW IT LOOKS AFTER FIXING THE TWO BIG WOODEN LOGS PLACED BETWEEN THE GAPS WITH THE TWO SMALL WOODEN LOGS PLACED ONE BELOW AND ONE ABOVE AS SHOWN IN IMAGE (30 AND 31 FROM LEFT TO RIGHT)

Step 6: FIXING OF ROTATING CENTRE WHEEL

FOR FIXING THE TWO PLASTIC WHEEL AS SHOWN IN THE IMAGE(2nd FROM LEFT TO RIGHT) ON THE OCTAGON SHAPE STRUCTURE AS SHOWN IN THE IMAGE (1st FROM LEFT TO RIGHT),I HAD TO DRILL THREE HOLES ON THE STRUCTURE TO GET THE PLASTIC WHEELS FIXED ON IT.

AT THE BEGINNING I HAD TO DRILL ONE CENTRE HOLE AS SHOWN IN THE IMAGE(3rd FROM LEFT TO RIGHT) ON THE STRUCTURE THROUGH WHICH THE DC MOTOR SHAFT WILL PASS BY AND ALSO THROUGH THE PLASTIC WHEELS.AFTER DRILLING THE CENTRE HOLE AS SHOWN IN IMAGE ( 3rd FROM LEFT TO RIGHT), I PLACED ONE PLASTIC WHEEL ON IT AND TEMPORARILY PASSED ONE STEEL ROD THROUGH IT,SO THAT CENTRE HOLE REMAINS ALIGNED WHILE DRILLING THE OTHER TWO HOLES AS SHOWN IN THE IMAGE (4th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).

AFTER DRILLING THE OTHER TWO HOLES ON THE STRUCTURE,I FIXED THE TWO PLASTIC WHEEL,ONE BELOW THE CENTRE SUPPORT AND OTHER ABOVE IT WITH THE NUT AND BOLT AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGES ( 5th TO 10th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).

AFTER FIXING THE PLASTIC WHEELS ON THE CENTRE SUPPORT,THIS IS HOW IT LOOKS AS SHOWN IN ABOVE IMAGE (11th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT)

Step 7: MAKING OF SEATS FOR OCTAGONAL STRUCTURE

FOR MAKING THESE KIND OF SEATS I HAD TO COLLECT SOME PARTS FROM MY MECHANIX GAME SET.

FIXING TWO ANGLES TO ONE BEAM WITH NUTS AND BOLTS AND ONE ANOTHER BEAM IN MIDLE OF THE TWO ANGLES CREATES A SITTING CHAIR AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGES (1st TO 4th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT) UNLIKE THOSE HAVING IN GIANT WHEEL.ONE MORE CHAIR CAN BE MADE BY FOLLOWING THE ABOVE PROCEDURE AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGE (1st TO 4th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).THIS IS HOW IT WILL LOOK AFTER FOLLOWING THE ABOVE PROCEDURE AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGE (5th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT)

THIS IS DIFFERENT KIND OF SITTING CHAIR WHICH IS MADE BY FIXING ONE ANGLE TO BEAM BY NUT AND BOLT AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGE (6th TO 8th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).FOLLOWING THIS PROCEDURE ANOTHER CHAIR CAN BE MADE AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGE (9th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT)

Step 8: PART 2- MAKING OF BASE AND ROTATING MECHANISM

FOR MAKING THE BASE FOR THE GIANT WHEEL(OCTAGONAL STRUCTURE),I HAD TO MAKE USE OF THIS HEAVY WOODEN STAND,WHICH I FOUND IT LYING IN MY GARAGE AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGE (1st TO 3rd FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).

FOR CREATING A SUPPORT FOR THE MOTOR SHAFT THAT WILL BE ROTATING THE HEAVY GIANT WHEEL(OCTAGONAL STRUCTURE),I HAD TO MAKE USE OF THIS METAL BEAM THAT I DISMANTLED FROM AQUAGUARD(WATER PURIFYING MACHINE) AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGE (1st AND 2nd FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).TO MAKE THE SHAFT PASS THROUGH THE METAL BEAM FOR THE SUPPORT,A SMALL HOLE HAD TO BE DRILLED THROUGH IT AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGE (6th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).

NOW A SMALL METAL BEAM HAS TO BE FIXED TO 5V DC MOTOR WITH NUT AND BOLT AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGE (7th TO 13th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT) TO FIX IT TO HEAVY WOODEN BASE.

NOW TWO HOLES HAD TO BE DRILLED ON HEAVY WOODEN BASE TO FIX THE MOTOR ON HEAVY WOODEN BASE WITH SCREW AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGE (14th TO 19th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).

AFTER PLACING THE METAL BEAM ON THE HEAVY WOODEN BASE AND FOR FIXING THE METAL BEAM ON THE HEAVY WOODEN BASE,I AGAIN HAD TO DRILL TWO HOLES ON THE HEAVY WOODEN BASE AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGES (20th TO 24th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).

AFTER FIXING THE METAL BEAM TO THE HEAVY WOODEN BASE AND PASSING THE MOTOR SHAFT THROUGH THAT METAL BEAM,THIS IS HOW IT WOULD LOOK AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGE (25th AND 26th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).

Step 9: PART 3-MOUNTING OF GIANT WHEEL(OCTAGONAL STRUCTURE) ON THE MOTOR SHAFT

NOW PASSING THE MOTOR SHAFT THROUGH THE PLASTIC WHEEL FIXED ON THE GIANT WHEEL(OCTAGONAL STRUCTURE) AND TIGHTENING THE SCREW OF PLASTIC WHEEL THROUGH WHICH THE SHAFT PASSES AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGE (1st TO 4th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).

Step 10: COVERING OF THE BASE

THE HEAVY WOODEN BASE HAD TO BE COVERED WITH CHART PAPER,SO THAT IT DOESN'T LOOKS UGLY AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGE (1st AND 2nd FROM LEFT TO RIGHT)

Step 11: FIXING OF SEATS ON GIANT WHEEL(OCTAGONAL STRUCTURE)

NOW DRILLING HOLES ON THE OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE GIANT WHEEL(OCTAGONAL STRUCTURE) AND AGAIN FIXING TWO SPACER ON ANY TWO SIDES,EITHER VERTICALLY OR HORIZONTALLY AS SHOWN IN THE IMAGE (1st TO 5th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).AFTER DOING THAT FIX THE SEAT ON THE SPACER WITH THE NUT AND BOLT AS SHOWN IN THE IMAGE (6th TO 8th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).AFTER DOING THAT CUT AN HUMAN BODY FIGURE FROM PAPER AND PLACE IT ON SEAT WITH RUBBER BAND AS SHOWN IN IMAGE(9th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).

NOW DRILL AGAIN TWO HOLES ON THE REMAINING TWO SIDES AND PASS A SCREW THROUGH THE SEAT AND ADD SOME SPACER IN THE SCREW AND TIGHT THE SCREW IN THE HOLE AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGE (10th TO 15th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).AFTER DOING THAT CUT AN HUMAN BODY FIGURE FROM PAPER AND PLACE IT ON SEAT WITH RUBBER BAND AS SHOWN IN ABOVE IMAGE (16th FROM LEFT TO RIGHT).
