We found a pair of metal wall sconces in the trash that we liked but one had a broken tab so the decorative glass piece would not stay in place.  Time to rip open a packet of Sugru.

Place the decorative glass piece in the sconce the way it is supposed to sit. 
Next, take a small piece of Sugru and create a tab to hold the glass piece in place.
Lay the piece face down until the Sugru sets,
