Use walnuts to make a spicy and refreshing pesto.
Step 1: Ingredients
100 g walnuts (3/4 cup)
a clove of garlic
a dried chili
20 g grated Parmesan cheese (1/6 cup)
1 tablespoon marjoram
50 ml olive oil (1/5 cup)
Step 2: Mix!
Chop your garlic finely.
Combine the garlic with the pepper, some salt and the chili.
Put the mixture in your blender.
Add the walnuts, the cheese and the marjoram and some olive oil.
Mix and add the oil step by step until you have a smooth mixture.
Taste and add some salt or pepper if you want so...
Step 3: Presentation.
Eat the pesto with some crackers or combine in layers with tomato and mozzarella or goat cheese.
