A nice and easy summer drink that is cool and refreshing. Its great for cooling off in the intense heat.
I hear its pretty hot over at Instructables, this is the drink for you and the whole Instructables community. I hope you enjoy it.

Step 1: Ingredients

1/3 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
Chilled watermelon
1 tablespoon lime juice

What I used:
Sauce pan
Small bowl
Large bowl
Baking pan
Plastic wrap
Magic Bullet or Blender

This looks yummy....

nom nom nom gonna try to make it with strawberrys

can you also boil up 1/3 of a cup of water in a water boiler and then desolve the sugar in to so you dont need to use a pan?

if you boil some water throw it in a glass with the sugar and stir it it won't dissolve all the way but if you throw it in the microwave and stir every 30 seconds it will dissolve

Where did you get the idea to make the syrup? could you use grenadine instead? Do you think it would work with another type of fruit such as peaches?
Try it and tell me how it works out
This is the best frozen fruit drink i have ever had thank you so much
I'm so glad you like it
Do you suppose you could substitute vodka for the water to make it an adult drink?
Of course but my suggestion would be to fill halfway with the watermelon ice then half with the vodka and wait a little for the ice to melt and then drink.
Might be easier to use an ice-cream machine? Will have to try that when summer is here again. Sounds dlicious
I agree with you, hmmm if only I had an ice cream machine.... Imagine the possibilities, lol I'll show you what I can do with one if I win the Frozen Treats contest, so be sure to vote.
Thanks:
Blechmen
Thank you so mutch for this!
I bought a watermelon yesterday to see what it taste like but
it wasn't really that so I saw this and made it and it was delicious!
Only took 5min of my time to make this, perfect!
I'm so glad it turned out well, I still have some in my freezer to make into the drink. And a vote would be very much appreciated.
Winter in South Africa now but definitely a recipe for very hot African summers. Will think of you in January :)
I'm looking forward to hearing from you
looks delicious but... so...much...work...in...scorching....heat
Haha, I think its worth it
That looks so refreshing!
Thanks, and Ill be sure to make more like this with a vote
THIS WAS SOOOO GOOD I made it the same day i saw this.
Haha thanks, I know I love them myself too
Just make me one, Please!
Haha they are really easy to make
I voted and can't wait to give this a try. Love watermelon.
Thank you so much
I am SO going to suggest this to the brides we have to replace their little signature cocktails. THIS is great, pretty, and hey, surprisingly easy and could very well be on their "activity"list for guests. Watermelon stand down the road? CHECK! Honkin big fridge to store them and keep them chilled? CHECK! Blender, etc? Check! Wonderful recipe? CHECK!!!! thanks!
Haha thanks so much, I feel so honored, tell me if this works out and how it was, and I don`t usually do these types of Instructables so a vote is much appreciated and I will do more of these. thanks
Looks yum!
Thanks and a vote is always appreciated, and tell me if you end up making it and how it was.
I freeze my watermelon cubes in a ziploc bag. Lay it flat in the freezer. You can then get frozen chunks to use in the bullet blender. Take a meat mallet to hit the bag so the cubes break apart if needed. Fill the rest of the cup with liquid like lemonade or fruit drink. Blend to get a watermelon slushie. I almost burned out my bullet blender when I did frozen strawberries without chunking them up first and kept on running it to blend all the little chunks it missed.
Thats a really good idea thanks for sharing
Uhhh food porn.....

Love it.
Lol exactly
Looks kinda good to me but I do not like watermelon,
Good job, though!!
Try some other melons and then send me a picture and tell me how it was, I always love to hear from you guys.
Can't u just omit the sugar?
Isn't it sweet enough? Will it not set up without it??
yes you don't need to add the sugar it's only to make it a little sweeter, I'm sure it will taste just as good without it. And its pretty sweet without the sugar.
I will definitely try it this weekend. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks and I would love a vote when I get accepted into the frozen treat contest
