Step 5Layout
Once all the shapes were done, I tweaked them and made clean outlines of each. For the cross-sections, only the right half of them was drawn, so I doubled them over as mirror images and joined them.
I them laid out the pieces according to the size of the sheets of plywood that I had on hand. I'm not going to pretend that this is some sort of optimal arrangement; I fiddled until they fit, barely, and called it done.
On this step, you can find the vector files for these shapes in several different file formats. If you just want to download this and get to work cutting it out, one of these should do the trick.

i downloaded the .Pdf and it shows the picture, but no sign of dimensions... do you print to scale? or am i missing something?

The PDF has its dimensions as part of the file format. You reader may not be showing them properly to you. But, in case you need to do some math yourself, the PDF is in fact 30in x 30in.

You mean the Adobe Illustrator file, right? You should open it in Illustrator. If you have a different drawing program, tell me what file format would be better for you and I'll see if I can convert it for you.

I created it in Adobe Illustrator on a Mac, but it should be openable by Illustrator on any platform. Many PDF viewers should be able to open it, as well.

I work a CNC router for a signage company and this stage of production is commonly known as 'nesting'. Basically fitting your pieces to get the most out of your materials. In cases where i have left over blank material i keep these files handy so when i need them again i can nest around the already used portions of the material.
