This is entirely up to you. There is no right or wrong way to do it, just make sure it is secure.

What I normally do is use a cow hitch with cords 2 and 5 onto the bracelet and then as I am knotting the rest of the bracelet these ends are doubled back on themselves and knotted over so they stay snug and secure.

SORRY TO ASK THE QUESTION, BEFORE THE STEP 12 ABOVE THERE IS THE FINAL STEP ON HOW TO ENDING THE ROPE ? HAVE TO BURN WITH FLAME OR HOW? MAY BE YOU CAN POST MORE CLEAR PICTURE, SORRY TO ASK FOR THAT.

can you clarify this step? I want to make some dog collars and this is where I get stuck. (maybe some more pictures.)

 I think Adam means that whole "doubling back " thing you mention with cords 2 and 5. It IS pretty vague :P
