It doesn't ruin your wii but it can "brick" it. (or render it as useful as a brick).

i have a 2gb micro sd card with a normal sd adapter -- will that work? also--- do i have to actually buy the zelda game?
Jan 19, 2009. 12:44 PMsoccerskyman says:
You do need the zelda game. I know that for sure. As for the micro SD card, as long as you have the adapter then yes. it should work. as long as it can hold data.
Dec 22, 2008. 7:52 PMCartuner55 says:
yes. it will work. about the zelda game. its a glitch in the game. the savegame makes a horse (in the game) have a name so long that the game cant handle it. then it somehow installs homebrew channel.go to step 5 to read how it does. so yes you do need the game.
Jan 18, 2009. 6:10 PMsoccerskyman says:
I will still be able to use my zelda game after I inatall the homebrew channle right?
Nov 27, 2008. 12:23 PMskoolkid#69 says:

P.S. Funny little note in Bold Italic on the intro. That basically makes fun of my instructable on how to play Backups on any wii without a modchip.

P.S.S. Srry for being mean becuz i love the Rapid fire mod

Sep 7, 2008. 4:10 AMCooshinator says:
For everyone that says iys dangerous: first of all youre just installing a new channel. you cant really get bricked for that. second, you dont need to deactivate wifi, but if u want to be supa safe, then cancel the licence agreement.
Sep 24, 2008. 5:38 PMhumongo_spork says:
I know I'm being stupid, but once you cancle the licence agreement can you reactivate it?
Oct 11, 2008. 7:29 AMCooshinator says:
ya u can. but while its canceled, u pretty much cant use any special internet features like wiimail or shop channel
Oct 5, 2008. 7:18 PMthe_burrito_master says:
AWESOME!!!... I'm gonna have a lot of fun with this >:)
Sep 24, 2008. 5:39 PMhumongo_spork says:
will this get you banned from wifi? or get it bricked?
Jun 28, 2008. 6:37 AMhumongo_spork says:
your LoZ:TP version is PAL, not NTSC or what ever, so will this work with a NTSC formatted game?
Jul 4, 2008. 10:34 PMLyoko is Cool says:
I'm confused by your question. Do you mean will the Twilight Hack work on NTSC formatted games? If so, yes, the twilight hack works with all versions of the game. You do, however need to select the right hack file. From the instructable: Region Inner circle text File (This is the text on the inner ring on the data side (bottom) of the disc) The file list is in thjis format: | Region | String to match | File to use | Europe/Australia RVL-RZDP-0A-0 JPN rzdp0.bin Asia RVL-RZDJ-0A-0 JPN rzdj0.bin America RVL-RZDE-0A-0 JPN rzde0.bin America RVL-RZDE-0A-0 USA rzde0.bin America RVL-RZDE-0A-2 USA rzde2.bin

So should I disconnect my Wii from the internet so that Big Japanese Brother (Nintendo) won't see what I'm doing?
Aug 21, 2008. 7:03 AMconradev says:
just so you know the homebrew channel is on beta 8 so you can change this on step 2
Jul 10, 2008. 9:59 AMJellyWoo says:
where do you come from? i thought twighlight princess was rated teen not 12+?
Aug 19, 2008. 11:53 AMsteed1172 says:
12+ it's almost the same thing as teen(13+)
Jun 2, 2008. 3:28 PMaliceownsj00 says:
So what does all this do? Whats the purpose of doing this?
Jun 2, 2008. 5:36 PMJakeTobak says:
It let's you run homebrew, which lets you do all sorts of kewl things. You can play games from other regions, doesn't work with the Homebrew Channel at the moment, and play homebrew games. XBox let you do some cool things like installing Linux so it can be a server and have a better media player. At some point you can probably play illegal stuff and maybe installing some sort of custom firmware, it's hard to say right now.
