Introduction: Willow Whistle

Instructional video about how to make your own willow whistle.

The video takes less than 2 minutes, the build process takes less than five, and now (spring and early summer) is just the right time of year to find the perfect willow branch.

I want to try it but I don't have any willow :/ Well if I come across some willow, I'll try to make one. PS: Try putting air valves of note controll

I love it! I live in the north not quite above the treeline but pretty close. Sadly no willows grow here but this is super duper neat!

That's pretty sick dude. I'm gonna make one lickety split. In fact, I might make pan pipes or something to that effect, is there any way to tune them or is it solely based on the size of the stick?

You never know what the sound is going to be until you finish. And, I don't think there is much you can do to change the tone. Let us know if you figure something out. Maybe making the air channel bigger. Maybe making the notch area inside the whistle bigger or smaller. I have never really cared much about tuning, I just carve one up and start annoying people while I toot to may heart's content.
