Wire Snowflake

In this instructable I will show you how I re-purposed some computer wire to crochet a snowflake.  I disassembled an old keyboard a while ago to use for another project. I was happy to be able to put to use the remaining part of that old thing to make a pretty Christmas ornament.  If you don't have an old keyboard to disassemble you can find the wire in other computer cables or from  broken headphone/earphone.

Step 1: What you will need

• Old computer cables or headphone wires etc.
• Beads
• Pliers
• Crochet hook

That is awesome! I'm a beginning crocheter, how much skill does it take to crochet with wire?

It's not much different than using yarn. With the thickness of wire I used it is still quite pliable, with thicker wire it is more rigid and harder to work with. The only trouble I had was if I made a mistake and try to undo stitches the wire tends to kink.
