Make a nice little basket, out of a clump of discarded, telephone wire. Just in time for Easter!

This was a spontaneous gesture, just to see what was possible. I liked the results enough to make more. Now I'm tempted to make a much larger one.

Depending on how fussy you are, you can make one of these in 10-15 minutes. It could be a good kid project, from little to big. Maybe they'd like to make their own Easter baskets. These could also be nice homemade gifts, for those who appreciate the randomly formed.

Watch the video, still pictures can't do justice the process and movement which (as with most things, I suppose) define the final form. This is heavily edited, to cut down on showing you the same moves over and over, so the length of the video does not reflect the actual time it takes to make the basket.

Again, leave it as loose or tucked in as you like, depending on the look your are after, and how fussy you are. After a second look a day later, this one has open areas a little larger than I'm happy with. The beauty of it is, you can adjust whenever you like, no soaking required. It could be a good desk toy!

As always, if you make one, please let me know, and post a photo of it here. As was mentioned in the PopSci forum, (Winning- subject line), it's gratifying to know others have enjoyed an instructable, and made something from it.

Now to do some structural tangling...

- Cut the tangle off of the main cable if necessary.
- Cut off any electrical tape, pull off the nylon pull string if desired.
- There are thin, plastic strips in the bundle, they separate it into 25 pair sections. I pull these out. They are nice colors, and will give you a good start on Easter grass, if you decide to use your as an Easter Basket.

- The the actual forming process is covered in the video, which is in the intro.
