Introduction: Workshop Air Purifier

Picture of Workshop Air Purifier

The cold season is getting closer. In the summer I tinkered with open garage doors, because the dust was not such a big problem. Now it's getting cold, the amount of dust has to be reduced. My solution to this problem is an air filter, which is attached to the ceiling. Due to the shape and orientation, it should ensure better air circulation in the workshop. And let's go ...

Step 1: Filtering Device

Step 2: Fan Mounting

Make an opening for the fan with the help of a router.
Fasten the fan with glue and screws.

Step 3: Main Box

Cut the side panels and screw everything together.
Alignment filter surface and fan 45 ° down.

Step 4: Filter Holder

As the air filter hangs from the ceiling, I wanted to change the filter as easily as possible. That is how this construction came about.

Nice! Do you have any more information on the fan that you used? Also, what type of filter did you use?

I just Googled "Güde GEH 2000" and found it on German Amazon. No clue how to get it in the USA though.

Awesome idea...but do you really think this should be in the "hand tools only" contest?

MrCraft (author)MillennialDIYer2017-11-28
