Step 2Combine Ingredients
- Mix the egg into the flour using the wooden spoon. The more thorough you are here the less lumps your pancakes will have.
- Add milk gradually and stir in. Make sure all lumps are gone before adding most of the milk.
- Switch to the beaters and add the rest of the milk. Beat thoroughly.
The batter is now complete. Easy wasn't it?

Sounds good, I'll have to try it. I don't know what the definition of pancakes is exactly, maybe mine are more like crepes. The three or four 1s make it so easy to remember this recipe.

Tried it with the baking soda, really good results.I'm not sure which way I like them better. The thicker ones are really good with jam and cream.

We make them almost exactly the same - but with four 1s instead of three: 1 spoon of baking powder (the stuff that makes it rise). This way the pancackes are slightly thicker and lighter.
