Seal a secret and tweet it to friends

Step 3Distribute the key

Distribute the key
OK. The seal is out there, and people who have the key can read it. But how will your friends know the key?

You can't trust digital communication, since it can be monitored. So you're facing a problem known as key distribution.

The simplest way to distribute a key to your friends is to meet them face to face and tell them the key's chant. That's what chants are for. Your friends can distribute the key to other friends this way.

If you need to tell the key to people who live far away, there's a desktop app called TweedleDH that does the trick. You can see how to install and work with it at the Secure one-on-one communication over Twitter or IM instructable.
