I was look around for THE perfect graduation dress, but then I decided, since I had the knowledge, time, and a sewing machine, I could easily make my own.

I bought the fabric at Joanns for only $2.99/yard!  I wish I had bought more...  I self-drafted the bodice, and made the skirt using a big rectangle.  I box-pleated around the rectangle until I got the width that I wanted.  I added my first invisible zipper. :)  The dress turned out better than what I expected it to be.

I was too eager to start making the dress that I forgot about this contest and I forgot to document the process of making it... so I started taking pictures of adding the zipper, but then got lazy and stopped.

sorry for the bad quality of pictures.  my camera wouldn't cooperate. & it was hard taking pictures the dress on my body.

Please vote for me and rate this if you like it!
You've got some talent there, lady! I'm impressed!
It's adorable! Looks like something straight out of Forever 21 or Urban Outfitters :) Great Job :D
Aw, thank you for the kind comment! Yeah. it took a while to make it, but definitely worth it. :D
No problem :D i think this would be really cute with a HUGE floral print, or a wide stripe :D
