These are amazing garlic breadsticks that will make you say mmmmm yummy in my tummy. One thing that would be great with this is noodles. But you can have anything your stomach desires.

Step 1: Ingredients

For the dough:
1 cup + 2 Tablespoons warm water
1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
3 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 3/4 teaspoons kosher salt
3 cups bread flour

For brushing:
3 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Step 2: Directions

the bowl of an electric stand mixer fitted with the dough hook, or by hand, combine all ingredients for dough except flour. On low speed, gradually add flour. Increase speed to medium and knead dough for 7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.

Step 3: Step 2

Remove dough to a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a dry towel. Let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 1/2 hours.

Step 4: Step 3

Divide dough into 12 portions. Roll each piece of dough into a 7-inch log. Place dough logs on nonstick baking mat or parchment-lined baking sheets, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

Step 5: Step 4

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Bake for about 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Meanwhile, combine butter, salt and garlic powder in a small bowl. Remove breadsticks from oven and immediately brush with butter mixture. Serve warm.
