what does the hop up do?
DJ Radio in reply to OblivitusFeb 16, 2010. 1:17 PM
Ugh some stupid error made my other comment reply to this instead of just post a fresh comment.  Anyways how the hell do you damage your wrist from building?  I only damaged my thumbs and thats when I was a fresh builder and all.
Oblivitus (author) in reply to DJ RadioFeb 16, 2010. 2:19 PM
It makes the gun fire high for more accurate long ranged shooting. It's more novel than useful.
Oblivitus (author) in reply to DJ RadioFeb 16, 2010. 2:28 PM
This is from Wikipedia;

"Repetitive strain injury is an injury of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems that may be caused by repetitive tasks, forceful exertions, vibrations, mechanical compression (pressing against hard surfaces), or sustained or awkward positions."

I hurt my wrists by building for hours a day, day after day.
DJ Radio in reply to OblivitusFeb 16, 2010. 3:32 PM
Oh.  I don't do it for too long, I don't have the time to build.  I'd just build a bit, take a break to check up on stuff and eat, then go back an hour later.
DJ Radio in reply to OblivitusFeb 16, 2010. 3:32 PM
So the bullet basically hops up at an angle?
Oblivitus (author) in reply to DJ RadioFeb 16, 2010. 4:29 PM
Yes, exactly.
Oblivitus (author) in reply to KILLERKFeb 17, 2010. 7:37 PM
Well thanks, but I'm not so sure. I contribute with my concept drawings anyway. If you haven't looked at my "Knex Concepts" instructable (lately), then I suggest that you go check it out.

Oblivitus (author) in reply to knexpert1700Aug 7, 2012. 7:58 AM
MLcad
knexpert1700 in reply to OblivitusAug 7, 2012. 4:01 PM
I have MLcad too but I don't think it's the same, I think mine is a much older version, 2004.
Dashadower says: May 27, 2012. 4:30 PM
Im using new parts, so 2x the pain. : (
Dashadower says: May 23, 2012. 12:31 AM
If you can't get the safety in, don't put it. I made a grenade launcher with the leftover parts
toothn says: Nov 25, 2009. 4:25 PM

Oblivitus (author) in reply to Dr.SquirrelDec 22, 2009. 9:54 AM
You were probably either using bent parts or made a mistake.
Dr.Squirrel in reply to OblivitusDec 23, 2009. 7:11 AM
Mistake
Dashadower says: Apr 11, 2012. 12:22 AM
yup, the "iron" sights!
totoandamigo says: Apr 7, 2012. 7:19 AM
how do you release the magasine
Oblivitus (author) in reply to totoandamigoApr 7, 2012. 11:27 AM
It connects and disconnects to/from the gun with 2 brown (orange) connectors by mere force. You push the mag in and the pieces connect, you pull the mag out and it disconnects.
totoandamigo says: Apr 4, 2012. 3:56 AM
what does the guide do?
Oblivitus (author) in reply to totoandamigoApr 4, 2012. 5:48 AM
It keeps the firing pin straight when you're pulling it back so that you don't have to control your pull as much. It also stops you when it's pulled all the way back.
totoandamigo in reply to OblivitusApr 4, 2012. 1:30 PM
thank you
dr. richtofen says: Apr 1, 2012. 3:36 AM
Great gun! However, is there an way to save like 40~45 yellow connectors without giving up it's features? I only have about 120~130 yellows.

Oblivitus (author) in reply to dr. richtofenApr 1, 2012. 6:22 AM
You would probably have to get rid of the stock.
