Sorry, i should have been more specific, but i couldn't help the typical paradoxical and vague Zen description. let me try again.

throughout our daily lives we tend to direct our attention and focus outward, toward the world around us. the practice of Zen is turning that concentration back on to ourselves and our minds.

notice, i only tried to explain the practice of Zen. Zen is one of those things that cannot be described, as its something different to everyone. if you really are curious (which is an excellent thing to be, as anyone who practices Zen can tell you) then go to Amazon and buy "The Three Pillars of Zen" or "Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind." both are excellent books on the practice and philosophy of Zen, and should set you back about $0.01 for a used copy.

OMG, that is the best one-line definition I've ever heard.

So this is for decoration, right? Guess you could use the same steps, but bigger wood & more rocks to make a bigger one too. Nice. :)
