Introduction: Zip2 Independent Dual Barrel Pump-Action Knex Gun Preveiw

About: Hello. I'm JonnyBGood! I'm a college student who now has a degree in Mechanical Engineer Technology. (MET) (excessively worded to mean a person who builds stuff).I enjoy building K'nex guns and many other thin…
Yes, it is here, Zip2 has arrived!! I'm also happy announce to gun engagement outside the shooting range. That's right Zip recently proposed to Competitor so, this is their direct offspring of the newly weds Zip2.
Since Zip is now a married man (or woman?) with competitor, Zip2 has zero broken pieces. Zip2 features dual barrel design held snugly between two layers. Each barrel has it's own firing mech and trigger, so there is a little learning curve to shoot this thing. The pump is directly related to the design on Zip, smooth and effortless with one #64 on each barrel. The part I love most about Zip2 is the concept (thanks to a question I received about Competitor AR) shooting twice per pump is extremely beneficial. Why? Because this allows a higher rate of fire. It also gives you a "failsafe" so if one barrel jams you can still go on warring. I originally designed this gun to be an outdoor war gun and unfortunately my aim was a little high. As you can see I built this to handle more power than Zip, but I forgot to account for the rod that connects the pump to the device that pulls back the ramrods....{palm to forehead}  Anyway, to say the least I am extremely pleased with how this turned out. I really took my time to prototype and then single it down to a final design. This gun will dominate the indoor battlefield and will be a prize of my arsenal for months to come.....

Stats

Pros
30ft range with one #64 rubberband
great rate of fire
smooth pump action
solid construction
easy to load and use
comfortable stock
triggers are solid

Cons
pump ramrod connection weaker than prefered
rarely jams (depends if you're trying to film it....)
three round magazine (so six shots total)

Step 1: Old Guns

So I have these two lying around still so I was wondering is anyone interested (other than me)? I plan to post these two eventually but you know how my list goes... to many previews, not enough posts. I will start posting soon (mainly because I'm really low on green rods and almost out of yellow connectors) so if you have preference on which gun comes first I'd like to hear about it. Thanks for looking!  JonnyBGood
