FRED the Zombie Head.
This is Fred the Zombie Head.
Fred is Dead, But to keep Fred Dead you have to shoot him in the head.

The Zombie head was made with Play dough.
The eyes are red LED's, a couple of button cells, wrapped in tape.
Here is how to make your play dough.

Step 1: The Mix

You will need:

2 cup plain (all-purpose) flour
1 cup salt
3 tablespoons cream of tartar
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups water with food colouring or ink added
1 teaspoon vanilla essence (optional but it makes the play dough smell nice!)

Put all the ingredients into a large saucepan, and stir over a medium heat until the dough forms into a ball. Allow to cool, and then knead until smooth.

Store in an airtight container (a Ziploc bag with the air squeezed out).

The Inkjet ink binds well with the dough, and won't stain your hands.

Step 2: Bright Eyes

I used blue and yellow inkjet refills for the green colour. and a milk carton for the eyes and teeth.
The dough keeps for about 2 weeks, If you can store it in a shed longer than this it will grow a bit of mold,
this gives it an authentic look.
Fred has been in my shed for a couple of months, he's quite moldy now.

Step 3: The Other Uses

I have used Fred the Zombie Head as an Airsoft Target.
Just pack out the back of the Forehead with Ketchup sachets.
Looks gruesome when hit, the" Blood explodes out of it".
