airsoft rocket launcher!

this is cool. im still working on issues with the propellant, so it dont go to far. but o well. im also working on the rocket to. but maybe yall can comment on some stuff that will work

Step 1: Build the tube

take 3 or 4 pringles cans( 4 works the best) and poke holes in the bottom about the size of a quarter. then duct tape them end to end. next take one final can and tape it to the bottom. this will be the combustion chamber. now wrap it in like fidy layers of duct tape, wire and watever else you can find that will add strength to the tube.
Note: be sure to wrap it in A LOT OF DUCT TAPE!!!! gorrila tape works better though, and its also a good idea to take the bottom off of vegtable cans and tape to it to add more strength. a good weak point to reinforce is the bottom of the last can. it blows off really easy. i can not emphasise how important this is. if you are thinking, "this is bull, ill do what i want", no. im sorry, but ive tried it and had two launchers explode on me. it is not fun.

If you take paper, make a firecracker sized roll, tape one end, slide a firecracker down it, put the fuse through the hole, fill it with ammo, and stick that down a piece of PVC pipe, instant RPG.

you should not hole it on your shoulder or if it fails it will take your head off. keep it on the ground like a howitzer

Hey if you want a really cheap fuel source, hairspray might just work. I haven't gotten the chance to test it though...
But my friend, he tried it with a potato launcher and it left my other friend with bruises...

yes it does i have recently tried hairspray as a fuel source and broke my fence again with it. (curse city living) however i tried it in the country and it didn't get very far. i am now, however, working on a new rocket desighn to give it better range.

i have a potato gun and bean bags work great for it so you might want to try a bean bag

Isnt this just a potatoe cannon? Just use a potatoe cannon and make some sort of capsule to hold the BBs until they impact.

it would be safer if u used pvc pipe and commpressed air. but it would much more expensive ($50-$70)if u don't have the cash u can use whatever u used and a scru on end cap.(check it out on you tube)

i made one for 17 bucks that shoots photo cannisters OVER 200 feet, beat that (thats at 40 psi it can go to 100)

I can beat that I know mines expensive but it can shoot 300gram (little over halve a pound) projectiles over 200ft i usaly get it to 60 psi but it can go up to 200 and blow holes through 1 inch pieces of wood but if yours is still better i can under stand.

BULL i built a air cannon in a hour and with $11-$20 of pvc stuff and a stem valve. for ammunition just take a plastic bag and put some bbs in it finally tighten it up and tape the tail it will explode on impact.

actually this is pretty safe, and if you want you can put pvc around it to make it more sturdy.

i don't own a radar gun, so i dont know, but i got one of those big prifacy fences and it shot a water bottle half full and put a hole in it from clear across my yard, so its pretty powerfull

I have a air cannon I built for 35$ and it can shoot mini tennis balls 250 feet at 10 psi ive taken it up to 110 psi and i can shoot it over 800 feet and its pvc
