Introduction: Amazing Chocolate Pie!

Picture of Amazing Chocolate Pie!

It is a great delectable chocolate pie. Made from only chocolate pudding, cool whip, a bar of milk chocolate, and a ready made pie crust.

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

Picture of Gather Your Materials

To make the pie you need:
1 4 1/8 OZ Instant chocolate pudding
1 Ready made pie crust, mine is chocolate.
1 16 OZ(1 LB) Of "Cool" whip
1 Bar of milk chocolate(optional)

A big bool
Rubber spatula
A cup

Step 2: Make Filling

Picture of Make Filling

This is easy.

First you need to put 3/4's(maybe a little less) of the "cool" whip into a boal

Then empty a packet of the instant chocolate pudding into the "cool"whip

Then just mix it with the spatula so no white can been seen.

Step 3: Put the Filling Into the Pie Crust

Picture of Put the Filling Into the Pie Crust

Very easy. Just scrape all the filling you can out of the boal and into the pie crust. then just smooth out the filling .

Step 4: Add the Top

Picture of Add the Top

Now just take the rest of the cool whip and put it on top of the pie. Again, smooth it out.

Step 5: Add Chocolate Shavings(optional)

Picture of Add Chocolate Shavings(optional)

This is easy.

I would recommend you use a cheese grater as it would work better. But anyway, i used a knife to shave off pieces of chocolate onto the pie.

I also took some of the pieces and broke them in half and put them on the top

Step 6: Eat and Enjoy!

Well I hope you like it!

Maybe you could put nuts on it to make it better.

Wow, this is WAAAY american. So many shortcuts, nothing is made from scratch :(

dsman195276 (author)Eric952010-07-11

Interesting way to put that, but that aside whats wrong with shortcuts?

Me not being a huge cooking fanatic I'd rather make a pie this way then make it normally and probably mess everything up. Now if I knew what I was doing I would probably make it from scratch, but this is a fine alternative to doing that if you have no idea how to cook normally.

Pentacle (author)2010-02-19

Or crushed up oreos to the mix. Mm...

dsman195276 (author)Pentacle2010-02-20

not a bad idea :-)

I don't even know how long my aunt has been doing this, but it's always a hit. She sometimes uses yogurt instead, which is equally delicious. Pudding or yogurt pie is always nice on a super hot summer day, especially (unless you're my cousin and the microwave is your best friend). Just be careful where it's put in the freezer, if you like your pie cold. We've had a few pies lost to unsuspecting vegetable retrievers. Here's an example: Me (to self): I can put this pie on the frozen corn because it's flatish and no one is making corn tonight. My aunt: AH! The pie! I was just getting the corn . . . Me: Oops. So . . . We have more pudding, right?

Yum! You could also add a 1/4-teaspoon of mint extract and top with Andes mints for a cool, refreshing variation. Double-yum!!!

What is cool whip?

dsman195276 (author)knarx2008-07-03

it is a whip cream type thing. it is sold in tubs. i don't know if it is sold by a different name were you live.

knarx (author)dsman1952762008-07-03

dsman195276 (author)knarx2008-07-04

no problem!

T-man (author)knarx2008-07-03

what is cool whip? are going crazy?

gannon (author)2008-07-04

Tasty! You could make your own crust from brownie mix --mix according to directions, spread in a pie pan, bake for 5 minutes less than directions call for so it will "fall" when you take it out of the oven.

Sigh, I wish there were edit buttons...I meant to say that I bet it has a mousse texture. Please excuse my silliness.

asyrith (author)2008-07-01

Cool! I bet it has a kind of mousse, right? I always like folding pudding with cool whip for that effect. You should get two chocolate bars and melt one down and then pour it into the crust and let it harden. Then add the pudding mix. Mmmm. Nice, simple instructable!

Doctor Who (author)2008-07-01

holy moly... yummy
