It appears that this instructable does not meet the quality standards the community deems necessary for this site. While you may be able to leave your instructable as it is - doing so will likely lead to lowering your credible standing within the community. Your credibility is all we (the community) know of about you. Establish yourself in good standing and the community is more likely to assist you later on and give constructive feedback. Below you will find a tentative list to help you find your mistakes.
- Spelling and grammar. Instant messenger-speak has no place here. Honestly, making the choice to misspell words when documenting a project simply shows a lack of self respect. Take pride in your work and others will find it a worthy project. Take the time to spell the whole word, capitalize the first letter in a sentence, and spell check. If the title itself has an obvious spelling mistake (not to be confused with a typo), then there's obviously no solid intent. FireFox2 has built in spell checking. Or if you prefer, there is a wide variety of third party spell checkers (such as tinySpell). Non English speakers are an exception if you post in English. However, these rules apply when using any native language. As said, the occasional "typo" is a special case - while proof reading is highly recommended, we can accept that even the best spell checker can't catch everything.
- Pictures. Posting "pictures are not necessary" is a cop out. This shows a lack of initiative and motivation on your part. The only exceptions are self evident (for example: a picture of a soldering iron is not necessary as this tool can be considered "common knowledge").
- Completed projects. Not finished with your project yet? Please don't bother publishing it. Your projects are saved so you can take as much time as you want to document, construct and edit. Posting - "I'll post more later" is a misuse of the tools available to you and is frowned upon within this community. When your project is done and documented - publish it and take pride in your work. Otherwise, your project will be "buried" before you update.
- Copycats. To be blunt: So your pen launcher has the rubber band on the side and not the top. Who cares? If you have a slightly modified version of someone else's projects - post a picture of it in their project's comments. Exceptions are only for similar projects in which the process is very different. So you built a rubber band pen launcher and cryogenic case hardened it - well, that may have merit.
- Spam. Blatantly copied projects with an obvious lack of understanding of why it works. Unauthorized advertisements are considered spam and are not tolerated by the community.
-For the Sake of... Posting a project because you just registered and feel you need to post something is frowned upon. Take your idea and give it time to grow and time to let it grow on you.
What the community likes to see.
Projects that are well thought out and properly documented using clear language. Doing so shows you invested the time and effort - this establishes your credibility within this community and makes the experience more enjoyable for your viewers.
