Introduction: Coffee Cup Purse

About: I like deep-fried unicorn with barbeque sauce. I also like the word bacon not the taste but the word. I love you like a waffle. Your poop, ATOMIKMONKEY.

this bag is made entirely out of coffee cups both ceramic and paper. It was entirely hand sewn, with a bit of hot glue. (god the time i spent, really im just lazy). please please enjoy. (please).

Step 1: Materials

this is cheap and requires few materials:
1. paper, not styrofoam, coffee cups (i used a little more than 9 16 oz cups)
2. string i used embriodery floss
3. some ceramic coffee cups
4. coffee cup sleeve or whatever you call it
5. 1 button
6. some hot glue
7. some kind of elastic string like a rubber band or a hair tie

Step 2: Taking Apart the Cups

decide on the size and shape of the bag. draw a picture if needed. take the coffee cups and disassemble them, cut down the side and cut off the rim and the base, along with the part that attaches the base to the cup. lay the cup out flat.you can then take a straightedge and and draw the shape and size on the coffee cup. cut this out. you will do this for the flap, the back and the part under the flap.

Step 3: The Panels

take what you made in the first step this step depends on how many cups you used. i overlapped 2 cups one detailed and one detailed and one white. i secured the two by hot glueing them together at the corners. i did this twice and then secured them with glue at the corners and sewed the two panels together. ( how confused are you) do this for all 3 panels. the back and the part under the flap being slightly longer.

Step 4: Attach the Panels

Take a cup and take it apart like in the first step. Make sure it is as tall as the back and the flap are wide. If not take apart another and sew them together. When you sew this piece to the 2 panels to the piece you just made make sure it goes with the bend in the cup so it bends easier and make sure it is sewn to the top of the flap and the back this is the top of the bag.Do the same thing you just did to sew the back to the part under the flap. just make sure the bottom is sewn to the bottom of the part behind the flap and the bottom of the back.

Step 5: Add the Sides

Now you have all three panels attached to each other. Take a coffee cup and take it apart and make it into pieces wide enough to cover the sides. Glue to secure the the pieces to the inside of the bag along the edges then sew the pieces on to form a tighter bond. Do this for both sides and your done.

Step 6: The Strap

i made this out of two layers of coffee cup one white strips the other decorated squares.i started by cutting out strips of white that were equal width. then i cut out strips of the decorated cups. i took the white strips and glued them together to get the length i wanted for the strap. then i took the decorated strips and cut them into squares that would fit. then i glued them to the white strip so it was covered. i took string and sewed along the edges. take the strap and sew it to the on the sides

Step 7: The Button

first sew a button on to the front of the bag decide on where to attach it by where the bottom of the flap is. sew it on. this is optional but go and find or break ceramic coffee cup. be careful this step involved some cuts because one wasn't ceramic and it kind of blew on me. take piece of cup and glue it to the button AFTER IT IS SEWN ON. then attach a hair tie or other elastic string thing with glue. make sure it can stretch over the button.

Step 8: Mosaic N' Stuff

this is also optional but take the busted up coffee cups and glue them on to make a shape you should plan it out first. on the back of mine i glued on a coffee cup sleeve on for decoration

Step 9: Ready to Hit the Town or Whatever

you are done but remember this is your bag so make it yours. change it up whatever works.
