Cool! I'll make one.
ahmad2117 says: Oct 19, 2010. 8:40 AM
did you just fold it to make the pocket or did you use 2 peices and stuck them in
jamnoopers says: Jul 29, 2007. 3:26 PM
This is cool. I will definitely make this. The only downside is that duct tape smells bad....but then again, it is nearly free!
seabananers in reply to jamnoopersSep 4, 2010. 4:40 AM
yeah it smells bad but why would you even think of sniffing your ds case lol
Maxaxle says: Aug 11, 2010. 8:35 AM
That is undeniably cool, though I would have made a full pocket on the bottom instead of a flap. Extra work, yes, but it would hold your games better. Or maybe just tape an Altoids gum tin to the top/bottom of the case to hold 8, 9, maybe 10 games.

Awsomeness says: Apr 6, 2009. 8:33 AM

Gage987 says: Jun 16, 2008. 11:10 PM

carrierpilot1357 says: May 30, 2008. 10:51 PM
i'll make this, but ill make pockets on it for my other electronics like my ipod.
amel01 says: Dec 10, 2007. 1:02 AM
how do you stick the velcro? tried fabric glue and super glue, they didn't work.
pebble712 in reply to amel01Apr 15, 2008. 12:34 AM
use the brand Scotch: reclosable fasteners they have sticky backsides u can find them at wal-mart
pebble712 says: Apr 15, 2008. 12:23 AM
how do you get velcro 2 stick?
heavy.metal.nguyen says: Nov 17, 2007. 3:46 PM
is there anything you could use besides denim fabric
hivoltage (author) in reply to heavy.metal.nguyenNov 18, 2007. 12:49 AM
i'm sure other kinds of fabric would work. denim was just what i had on hand. you could even forego the fabric and make it all tape. just stick pieces of half overlapping tape together sticky side in to make tape sheet, and then use pieces of that to make the case.
heavy.metal.nguyen in reply to hivoltageNov 19, 2007. 3:12 AM
thanks, I made a case kinda like this but forgot to add a little extra for the front flap. And the way I made pockets was to make them to the size of the game and use more tape to put them on the back.

pretty neat... it's even shinier than the ones you buy at the sore!
lukeorion says: Jul 26, 2007. 5:27 PM

I've been reading Instructables for months, but this is the first thing I've made. Thanks for the idea!
hivoltage (author) says: Oct 18, 2006. 2:18 PM
thanks. i didnt wanna go and blow like twenty dollars on a case that isnt even as good as the one i made here. i like the pocket you added, i was going to do that, but i never got around to it for some reason.
cheese-monkey says: Oct 17, 2006. 4:35 PM
this is cool. all other cases suck
earlvanze says: Oct 15, 2006. 10:23 PM
Here's my version I substituted duct tape for packing tape because 1)I like the denim look and 2)I didn't have duct tape

hivoltage (author) says: Aug 30, 2006. 8:51 AM
i guess i forgot to put that part in there. when i made it i never really measured anything. the side piece should be the same length as the pocket part is tall, and wide enough to close up the sides with room to tape them in. with my case for a DS lite, it was approximately 2 5/8" x 2 1/2".
MaskedLioness says: Aug 29, 2006. 4:13 PM
Nice little case. I've been meaning to make/buy something to protect my DS. I may be missing something, but when am I cutting the "side" piece that is attached to the longer part cut out in step 2? How big should it be?
