This is a super simple and unisex Halloween costume - the voodoo doll! At the bare minimum, all you really need is a heart and some pins to attach to your clothes. Anything you do after that is just a bonus!

I decided to go ahead and do makeup, too.

But regardless of what you do, a voodoo doll costume is a great last minute idea for Halloween. It'll only take a couple hours to throw together - even less if you take some shortcuts. :D

Step 1: What you'll need:

 • red felt
 • wire
 • foam balls
 • hot glue gun
 • red paint
 • painbrush
 • small safety pins (for attaching the heart)
Depending on how thick your wire is, you may need to use foam craft sheets - I used a really thick wire, so I stuck it into craft foam to anchor it. For wire that's 14 gauge or less, you'll be able to bend it and then wind it inside the two felt pieces and can skip the foam all together. :D

You might also want some face paints. I really recommend Ben Nye brand paints - the black and red are that brand and they were great to work with!
So what is a voodoo doll?

are you just kidding, or you're serious?

i love voodoo dolls!! x^D .... this is GREAT!

This project should be marked like a dangerous and banned. Thick wires pointing directly to the chest/heart may cause serious injury or even death if someone punch them forward(there is many crazy people out there) or in case of car accident or lost of balance and fail.

Ahhh....these are the wire....wow that is some thick wire!

So what is being used for these long pins?? I don't see it mentioned anywhere! Help!

hahahahah i loveeee this idea =D
