home-made rustic christmas wreath

scrounging the ground of my apartment complex, I found some good wreath making fodder. In this tutorial I'm using (what i think are) fir branches. Last year I made this with branches from a cedar tree and that was a little easier, pine would work well too.

Step 1 Materials & tools

gather some evergreen clippings (pine & cedare will last longer), you'll also need some thin (about 40 gauge) wire & some wire cutters.

This is a great idea - it puts some color into the home, helps the room smell better, and just gets you in the holiday spirit. ^_

This seems like it would also make an easy, customizable gift. I feel like it needs some LEDs attached to it.

oh, no, what happened? Maybe your singles were too small? Do you know what kind of tree you got your clippings from? Though garland's nice too. If you want, maybe you could find a long twig or heavy gauge wire you could bend into a circle and mount your garland to? just a thought. cheers & have a happy holiday.
