Introduction: Home-made Rustic Christmas Wreath

scrounging the ground of my apartment complex, I found some good wreath making fodder. In this tutorial I'm using (what i think are) fir branches. Last year I made this with branches from a cedar tree and that was a little easier, pine would work well too.
I also have the tutorial posted on my blog at http://www.thescienceofcraft.com

Step 1: Materials & Tools

gather some evergreen clippings (pine & cedare will last longer), you'll also need some thin (about 40 gauge) wire & some wire cutters.

Step 2: Start Joining Pieces

Take the single clippings and join them together to create fuller clippings (about the desired thickness of your final wreath).

Step 3: Join the Groups

Start joinging each of the fuller bundles end to end in a circle.

Step 4: Clean Up

Once it's together, it will probably need a bit of cleaning up. Tie back with the wire and trim as you see fit.

Step 5: Accessories and Hook

double over the wire to create a hook in the back. Also add in any accessories, (berries, bows, etc.) with the wire.
