You'll see a little light bulb about 3/4 inch long. Carefully remove that with out destroying anything.

you can still shock your self with out the battery in. the big black cylinder is a capacitor which would then be holding 330v. steer clear of it or ground it before you do any soldering by touch the metal contacts of the capacitor with a screwdriver with a plastic or rubber end.
