How to Bypass School Internet Filters Using Command Prompt (No Proxies)

Step 4Final Step

Final Step
Alright, now this is the core of what you need to do.

In the Command Prompt (The Black Box) type: PING http://www.(insertwebsitehere).com

Now a jumble of text should gradually appear. For the purposes of this tutorial, we're looking for the IP of the website, or something that looks like this: 63.251.179.13 (www.myspace.com)

After finding the IP, type the numbers in the address bar of your preferred internet browser. This is a fairly basic trick to get passed most weaker internet filters. Odds are if you work for the CIA, this won't get you passed the filters (don't you have terrorists to find anyway?) but if you're at a library or on campus, nine times out of ten this will do the trick.

Happy surfing!

Feb 15, 2011. 2:33 AMfsstickman says:
well what you do is go into notepad. Type "command.com" without quotation marks. Save as All files type and name it cmd.bat or a.bat or whatever. It just needs to end in .bat Save wherever. now double click on it. It should open cmd

Don’t fret, we can just make a new command prompt. Open up notepad and type in this:

@echo off
command
@echo on

Save it as a .bat file, then open it, and you should have a functioning command prompt.

 I have to go and try this trick, but if you make a Persistent Linux USB, you can bypass any software they use. I'm pretty sure you can then use the command line in Linux to do this. Personally I just download games on my drive and bring it to school. I used Linux live creator 2.5 and a 4GB drive. If the computers are old and don't let you boot to USB, burn a disk (or floppy) with plop boot manager and boot to it. It will then  let you boot to your Linux drive and use this trick or anything else you want. Hope this helps.

Ok, I tried doing all of this, and I'm actually trying to bypass my home filter, but there are TWO filters. one apparently blocks me via proxies, and the other, the backup, does so also, AND blocks this method to. I acquired the OpenDNS ip (the backup filter) on the command prompt, and thought it was the ip to Youtube......wtf do i do now?

Google Translate also gives you access to websites - schools can't block that without blocking innocent users from using it.

May 8, 2010. 6:37 PMagentstaple says:
 OK I think I have figured it out what you have to do is buy a gun take it to school and hold your school tech hostage until he promises to unblock the complete network im sure this way you are probably going to get a result if.

btw I was joking if you hold the school tech hostage you will get arrested i know I dont need to tell you this but there are some people out there stupid enough to listen to me lol  :~0

Just a hint if your school has blocked command prompt like mine, use notepad, type in the prompt there, and save as a file that ends in .bat run that and there you go. Or, if you can't open notepad, go onto any webpage, right click in a blank space and click "view source". Notepad will appear with a load of HTML script in - delete all that and save it as "notepad.txt" in your folder (my documents or wotever)- now you have notepad, and can do what I said at the beginning of this comment!

 Your pretty much only chance now is to remote desktop. Leave your computer on at home, and use either LogMeIn, TeamViewer or GoToMyPC (Possibly WinVNC) to remote to your computer at home. This is what I do.

Doesn't work...The only thing I can do now, is to wait 2 eyars for my free asus laptop from the government and to hack/jailbreak it cause my school is a tech school and they have good programming skillz. We even have our own intranet check it out... Its password protected...damn i wanted to show you.

i paste your script right into run and it came up with all active ips to this website at the moment i typed it
Aug 8, 2008. 2:20 PMdavidprosser says:
In an ideal world on a home PC that would work, but the problem is that on many school/college computer systems the "run" feature has been removed from the start menu. My idea is a simple workaround for the problem, but I understand where you're coming from.
