how to dish/sink/bowl etc. for medieval armor
I am (I think) the first person who has shown how to do this in an Instuctable, i am going to show you how to make a simple knee/elbow (depends on size) cop. (small hist. lesson) The cop fist started in the late 13th early 14th centurys as an addition to maille (chainmail) for added protection and slowly evolved into a INSANLY complicated piece of armor that still had the same name but covered all of the elbow/knee, you can see this in many 16th and 17th century armors. ( I could not find a pic of this but look around youtube for it.)

you probly think that you'll need tons of tools to do this, but no: you need a

hammer(any hammer will do)

Ball peen hammer (not essential but NICE to have)

wood (about an inch thick at minumum, a nice big stump is ideal)

way to carve wood( you dont need anything special but a pocketknife)

a large steel ball( called a planishing ball, largely needed but can live without)

sheet metal (home depot sells 16  and 20-22 gauge mild steel)

Lacks real pics. Take pictures of build, then post. If you do not have a camera, borrow one from a friend.
