Introduction: How to Kill a Werewolf

Werewolve's, half man, half wolf. Yet, how do you really kill one? Movie's state that the the only sure fire way to kill one is by silver bullet or a blunt, silver object. Now to become a truly great hunter you have to know it's origin, strengths, weaknesses, and what works best to kill it. But, why kill such a beautiful animal?

Step 1: A Werewolve's Origin

The origin of the word "werewolf" comes from the greek word lycanthropes. Werewolve's are granted the ability to morf (shape shift) from human, to wolves or anthropomorphic wolf-like creatures. They also have been granted extra-human strength and senses, far beyond those of a wolf of human. Werewolve's have very distinct features. Large amounts a fur,  the meeting of eyebrows at the bridge of the nose, curved nails, low set ears and a swinging stride. A method to find out if a "human" is in fact a human, is to cut a patch away from the scin of the accused, and if fur is in the wound, they are a what they are accused of, a werewolf. A Russian superstistion recalls if you lift the tounge and there are bristles, they are a lycan.

Step 2: What to Use to Slay a Werewolf

   So know you know a werewolve's origin, buy how do you kill one? Movie's portrait that a silver bullet will give you a "one shot, one kill", silver bullets work, but not that effectively. It will usually take three to five rounds to take down a fully mature werewolf.
   Mercury is also used to hunt a werewolf. Although, mercury is pretty much the same as using a silver bullet, that is were it get's it's nickname "guicksilver".
   Removing the heart or head is a sure fire way to kill a werewolf. Younger one's can suffer a brain injury or puncher of the heart to kill it.
   Turning them on their own kind will often work. This is a very effective way but it is hard to accomplish, for to fact that they hunt like wolve's do, were they only fight each other for dominence. But, if you kill the leader, the pack is usally scared or much easier to kill.
   If you find a werewolf in his "human" state, kill it then, it is easier, and it will not live on.
   These are effective ways to kill a werewolf. Hunters usally stick to using older weapons to kill a werewolf, crossbows, swords, canes, and rarly use guns to kill one, unless using silver bullets.

Step 3: Protect Yourself

When your going out to gain you'r "first kill", you want to make sure you are going to still be around for another. This is the part that many people forget, and they usally dont even see their "first kill". To keep from getting killed or being turned over, wear silver plates over vital organs and knowing how to block their "slash" will keep you from getting hurt. You will also feel the satisfaction of your "first kill".

But, as i said, a werewolf is not alway's a beast that needs to be killed to stop terror. Werewolf can be gentl creatures and they are beautiful animals. Sometime's killing them is not always the way to go.
