America and its allies bombed the Germans and Japanese into smithereens and that brought the world war to an end. Think before you comment. If you want peace there must be lots of bloodshed. =)

I have to rate this as epic fail in my book, not liking it, and remember, our soldiers chose this life, and are proud of it, they know the risks, and a braver than any of you anti-war guys

There is a simple reason why people don't take these posters seriously. The reason is, wait, look closely when you read this, I used correct English, and common sense. Oh, and by the way, in the Usama Bin Laden vs George W. Bush poster, you make Bush seem like the bad guy, but let me tell you something, it might be hard for you to understand, but it's called 9/11.

I don't think Bush talked Congress into war because he wanted the oil, I think he did it because Cheney wanted to make Haliburton some money, or maybe he actually did think it was the right thing to do.

whether it is america ripping iraq apqrt for oil,or india and pakistan having a mini cold war going on over here.
As you appear to live in India (according to your profile) why did not you choose to make pictures about "india vs pakistan" instead ?
I'm sorry, but I can't call that an "instructable". It looks like "indirect propaganda" (whatever is your opinion) ...

As the purpose of your instructable is to "teach how to make good anti war poster", and not to make "propaganda", I believe you should have provided neutral and fictive examples/samples posters to actually "teach how to make anti war poster". Also, stating "america ripping iraq apqrt for oil" is not useful in this instructable, and is probably incorrect (if you actually believe it's the main or only reason, your reasoning must be incomplete.)

well in afterthought we gain the best wisdom and ill admit Before the Iraq war i wasnt that clued up on it but Osama Bin Laden was trained by the CIA Saddam Hussein was given the power by America Saddam Hussein was sold weapons by America Saddam Hussein was given money by America(for research and economical purposes, later turned out this was what he researched chemical warfare with) America had an agreement with Hussein for a pipeline to be built (or a trade agreement i cant remember which) im not sure but to me it seems that although America is a big wealthy place, they wouldnt do something for nothing, it would be more likely and logical for it to be a scenario where America helps Iraq(money), America is friends with Iraq(training police etc), Iraq helps America(oil, foothold in middle east). to me that seems logically most likely and it seems even more likely considering that when Russia invaded a country agreed to be an ally, neither the UK nor the USA stepped in, instead sending aid in the form of some paramedic units and food, which dont get me wrong, would be appreciated by Serbia, and Serbia was in the wrong for its activities on the borders of Russia, but, if America, this highly moral country, will go to war with a dictatorship they elected to power, who otherwise they have no political affiliations with, and not go to war with a country that is a recognised ally when they come under attack from a rival power theres more to the first conflict then just going to war because its right

i dont know where you come from but when i am given the oppertunity to live in a great country like ours. and even if you do disagree with our government, that still gives you no right in hell to show that kind of disrespect to them. i personally believe that if you have that big of issue with or government than you can get your ass out of here. and i am curious to how much you even know about the government concerning the war in middle east. maybe you should spend more of your time studying the issues instead of sitting at home thing of ways that you can act like an uninformed smartass.
Oct 27, 2008. 5:01 AMthinker
says:
some corrections: "opportunity" not "oppertunity" protestation is not disrespect for office, if its any form of disrespect then its disrespect towards a certain action, theres a difference between the office a person holds and the actions they take, just because it connotes responsibility and a high moral status doesnt mean this is the case, assuming someone is right just because they have a title in front of their name, is at best, naive also if you have an issue with a government, isnt it better to Stop the government? i personally believe that the millions who stand by and let oppression continue are doing just as much wrong (if not more) then the thousands who are in the act of oppressing, and are in moral wrong for not acting against the leader who ordered said acts and its not a correction as such, but saying that you are curious about how much he/she knows, without labelling any facts yourself, without any proof or verification that you yourself know said facts, has the opposite effect of demeaning their argument, and instead makes you seem like the "uninformed smartass" which you seem to be so against, Especially as the person you are trying to correct is doing anything BUT sitting at home, seeing as they are being actively Against something which they believe is wrong so im not being pedantic ill ignore the extremely odd comment of "i dont know where you come from" to me it seems irrelevant, unless you wish to slander a certain areas education or stance, to bring up someones origins but you could be innocently curious

I think it's most patriotic to use our rights. Doesn't it make more sense to realize that things are wrong with the American government and try to change this country for the better? Shouldn't we question our "leaders" and try to gain a better understanding of the world rather than blindly follow the lies that we are spoon-fed by the television set? Or maybe we should just learn how to use punctuation and capitalization the right way.

same thing happened in the UK as well i find it odd, that when said information is freely available on the web that people still get arrested for it as far as im aware most of the information on said cookbook is merely application of common knowledge, and considering when it came out i assume it is also outdated not having or seeing need for a copy myself i dont fully know this, but to me it is odd that people still get arrested for holding something which is although malicious in intent, telling no more information then is available through wikipedia howstuffworks or other such sites

Making an anti-war poster is stupid. Haven't any of you ever seen that movie, The Secret? The Secret states that the law of attraction will bring to you what you think of. Whether you think Anti-War or Pro-War, your thinking war, so you are going to get it. Mother Teresa said that she will never attend an Anti-War rally, she also said, " When you have a Pro-Peace rally, Invite me." its very logical.

As far as my comment goes..I was being sarcastic towards another poster. Here's my suggestion for improving your instructable. Don't use images and topics that will incite people to flame you or only focus on the content of the image. Why you chose an anti war theme..knowing it would draw criticism is your business. And it is still my opinion that it would be more constructive to promote "Peace" not "antiwar". Ones a political statement, ones a better way of life..you figure out which is which.
I you stop the war, you stop USA. Then, It is not possible. They (all?) wants follow his "american way of life": ostentation, waste, frivolity, violence, WAR.

Yes, Bush is after the oil..thats why my gas cost is soooo cheap now and getting only cheaper. If thats the case I have a bridge to sell ya. But this is a good instructactable...good for wiping down my assembled products with the paper ,sort of like a rag..get my point? Maybe a better sentiment would be to promote "peace" instead. Seems more constructive...but less political.

???give me some info i can use to improve this thing, hte fact that you are more bothered about gas cost than lives is deeply disturbing.and the fact that you need gas too.....like you absolutely HAVE to use carbon emmiting methods of transport....like you care.
