how to make my pneumatic gun

In this instructable i will show you how to make a gun that i have made from my own plans and have been modifying for a long time. This one is a small caliber (10 mm) high preasure (3-4 bar) type.

Bear in mind this is my first instructable but feel free to pick at the design and constructively comment;-)

i take no responsibility for any cats/humans you kill with this!

(i will upload a video of it being fired soon!)

most of the parts specified can be found at screwfix direct, but you may want to buy the preasure guage off ebay or somewhare like that because i payed about £25 for mine!

i wished i could make it !! but in america copper is expensive! i will ry to make one out of PVC instread! yu should try it itll be lighter! are you from the UK cause those are british bakery potatoes!?'

lol! yep im in the uk, the reason i use copper is that i have lots of it, i didnt think of people who dont :-(

but it can explode into shards if you dont check the psi rating, (if it has one)

copper will explode easier because of the fact that it is supposed to be used for water piping.... not pneumatics....id be more worried about the copper

the weakest type of copper (type m) is rated to 250 psi. that's 250 pounds of pressure per square cm, regardless of whether it's water or air. Since he's using a regular bike pump, it won't go over 100 ps1. the most serious injury you could get from a basic ball valve pneumatic like this would be from dropping it on your foot.

niether is pvc id use threaded steel but i would be HEAVY but you probably wont get high enough pressure to make it explode even eith co2

I wonder, what if you had a gravity fed magazine (after the valve). It would be easier to use bbs if you added one. Would it work?

yes, you can, but when i made this, i was still using a push fit preasure guage that can only take about 5 Bar.

that is a good idea, i tried that and found out that the best barrel you can get is a one out of a realy cheap, oversized BB gun.

hmm maby i could use a bigger pvc pipe and either make a grenade launcher(basicaly a baloon or a easter egg with a small charge with bbs inside) or make a giant shotgun

without that preasure guage, it must have cost no more than ten pounds. But if you solderd it, it would cost even less! (and be stronger)

...but will the harness that holds the pneumatic gun on the bearded dragon hold the barrel over it's aiming eye or-for balance-the other side? And, will the limited field of binocular vision negatively impact the, um, impact area?...
