how to make your own, homade, pumpkin pie!!!

Now why would you want to make your own pie when you can just go to walmart and buy a can of already made pie filling; or worst, an already made FROZEN pie? well its simple there's no satisfaction in it! I can just as easily go buy a pie and put it in the oven ,take it to the party, and end it there; but I would love to boast on how I made a pie, from a seemingly useless colounary fruit. and maybe brag a bit to my mom so that my sister's brownies don't get all the attention!
And remember to make the pie the day before the party, 'cause it usually takes up to 8 hours to make!!

Step 1: Get a pumpkin

you should always find a nice healthy looking, fresh pumpkin. and remember to get the small eating pumpkins and not the large carving pumpkins.

Wot a smashing idea, re: squash. I have never tasted pumpkin pie (I'm British) before but after seeing this receipe, I am going to give it a try. I may invite friends to sample, so we can celebrate our first taste of pumpkin pie together!

Make sure to use pie pumpkins and not carving pumpkins. Also you can use squash instead of pumpkin if you want, it comes out pretty much the same as far as I can tell.
