Introduction: How to Make Your Own, Homade, Pumpkin Pie!!!

Now why would you want to make your own pie when you can just go to walmart and buy a can of already made pie filling; or worst, an already made FROZEN pie? well its simple there's no satisfaction in it! I can just as easily go buy a pie and put it in the oven ,take it to the party, and end it there; but I would love to boast on how I made a pie, from a seemingly useless colounary fruit. and maybe brag a bit to my mom so that my sister's brownies don't get all the attention!
And remember to make the pie the day before the party, 'cause it usually takes up to 8 hours to make!!

Step 1: Get a Pumpkin

you should always find a nice healthy looking, fresh pumpkin. and remember to get the small eating pumpkins and not the large carving pumpkins.

Step 2: Disect Your Fruit

get you strongest knife and pop the stem off, then cut them into quarters like in the picture.
and do be careful it's kinda' hard.
then scoop out the guts!
put into a large baking pan.

Step 3: Cookin' With Gas

cover you victims with foil, put on a cookie sheet, and bake at 350.
check every so often until they're flaky but still moist.

Step 4: Scrape the Orange Stuff Off the Other Orange Stuff.

scrape the fruit off the outer skin.
(sorry no pic)

Step 5: Spin Spin Spin!!!

take your moist orange flakes and measure out 15 oz.. then move to the nearest blender and puree'. add 6 ounces of your carnation milk to loosen it up.
(still no pics)

Step 6: Add the Stuff

add:
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon cloves
2 large eggs
the rest of the can of carnation milk(6 oz)
to the blender and mix well.

Step 7: Create the Pie

roll out your dough on a glass pie pan.
pre-heat your oven to 475.
add you liquidized stuff to your rolled dough crust, fold foil around the edges and bake for 45 min.

Step 8: Loading Please Wait....

let the pie cool for 30 min then serve or chill and keep for up to a week..... if it lasts that long!
