How To Reset iPod with Clickwheel

*The clickwheel models include the iPod Nano, iPod Classic, iPod Video (5th Generation), iPod 4th Generation, and the iPod Mini.

1.) If your iPod is connected to a computer, disconnect it.
2.) Move the hold switch to the hold position and then back to the original position.
3.) Press and hold the select button and the menu button at the same time until the Apple logo appears.(Usually about 4-6 seconds.)
4.) The iPod will now reset and reboot back into the main menu.

How To Reset iPod with Scroll Wheel

1.) If your iPod is connected to a computer, disconnect it.
2.) Move the hold switch to the hold position and then back to the original position.
3.) Press and hold the play button and the menu button at the same time until the Apple logo appears. (Usually about 4-6 seconds.)
