  • 1B remove cotter pin and actuator pipe from cable reel.JPG
  • 1C spray bolts with penetrating oil.JPG
  • 1D measure distance from bottom of mounting flange to top of rubber.write it down.ours was six and three quarter inches.JPG
  • 1E turn adjusting rod clockwise,taking up wire to leave one inch stickout of good wire.mark wire at housing.let out some slack.JPG
  • 1F attach new wire with minimum of two wire rope clips.JPG

  • 1G tighten clips alternately,then cut off excess frayed wire..JPG
  • 1H crank wire in until new wire end hits housing.mark wire a lil shy from your earlier measurement.JPG
  • 1I cut pin three quarters shorter than rim inset.grind groove for wire in center of pin.JPG
  • 1J attach wire to pin with mark on clip side of pin.JPG
  • 1K completed wire assembly.we used 3 clips per end for extra protection.new rim and used tire 140 bucks.dont want them slipping off.JPG
  • 1L paint wire and clips with cold galvanizing spray..JPG
  • 1M wire brush actuator pipe and paint it.crank wire out of housing till it stops.turn housing upside down and spray wd 40 into cable slot.JPG

  • 1U tire raised into final position tight to frame,pin centered in hole.JPG
  • 1V we decided tom add a ratchet strap for extra protection.maybe overkill, but its back ti the 140 bucks.....JPG
