Introduction: Laser Engraving Machine 利用废弃光驱,废弃打印机 制作激光雕刻机 (Producing Laser Engraving Machine by Using Wasted CD-Drive or Printer)

你是否像我一样对送什么礼物给好友而感到烦恼?你是否像我一样希望挑选富有创意的礼物表达心意?随着经济水平的提高,人们对于礼物有了更多的要求,既要表达心意又要富有创意的礼物渐渐进入人们的视线。

许多身边的朋友也希望能够把自己喜欢的图形,动漫人物打印在一些小挂饰上,而DIY爱好者则更希望能够在家里自制pcb来制作一些属于自己的电子作品。基于这些需求,我萌生了制作激光雕刻机的想法。全套机器几乎都采用废弃材料,这一方面节约经费,另一方面践行了资源循环利用的理念。但是,第一代激光雕刻机只能满足打印个性图案的需求,却无法满足腐蚀电路板的需求,所以我在第二代产品中对机架进行扩大,并且创新性的提出了腐蚀电路板的方法,使机器的用途更加的广泛。

这个是我利用废旧光驱和废弃的打印机做的,都是从家里报废的东西上拆的或者是几块钱从二手市场买到的,最后我将附上我的打印作品

Are you still worried about what gifts are best suited for your friends? Do you want to choose something creative to express your sincere wishes? With the advancement of the economy, higher requirements on presents become more necessary. Gifts with innovative ideas are coming into our sights.

Some people want to print their favourite pictures or cartoon characters on some small ornaments. People who are keen about DIY wish to make pcb at home to make their own electronic works. Based on these requirements, I sprouted the idea of making a laser-engraving machine. The machine is made from discarded materials, which saves the money and put the concept of “recycling resources ” into practice as well. However, the first generation of laser-engraving machine can only satisfy the want of printing pictures. Thus, I expand the framework in my second version and propose the innovative method of circuit-board-etching in order to broaden the uses of the machine.

The machine is basically made from unwanted materials that you can easily find in second-hand markets. I use the old CD driver and printer to make this machine and it is shown later in my article.

Step 2: (1代)Using the CD-ROM Production -- Get Laser and Stepper Motor 使用光驱制作——拆光驱,拆下激光和步进电机

第一步是拆废弃光驱,拆下2个废弃光驱里的步进和激光头,最后一张是拆好的激光头

I took two wasted CD-drives apart because we need the steppers and lasers from them.

Step 3: (1代)Assembled Circuit and Drive Rack 组装电路和光驱机架

这是我的第一代产品,采用的是废旧光驱和arduino,

开始组装,这是具体的制作过程,焊接电路板(使用arduino nano和a4988驱动)

使用废弃的木条和已经拆解完成的光驱步进电机

木材的好处是只要有锯子甚至美工刀,大小长宽都可以随心所欲的设计,并且环保。 其中 X 轴跟 Y 轴的步进马达记得一定要垂直,以免雕刻出来的图案会 歪歪斜斜的。

The first version was made from CD-drives, using Arduino nano and A4988 stepper drivers. This version is assembled by wood slats, which are easy to make changes, even with basic tools.

When you build this kind of stuff, remember to always keep x and y axes perpendicular.

Step 4: (1代)The Improvement of the Design of the Frame 机架的设计与改进

这是我机架设计与优化的过程,其中不乏有失败的案例,

但我的这些尝试是为了加强机架结构并且能节约材料和资金,

而我的这些尝试可以让更多的人更方便节约的将自己手头的废弃光驱做成简单好玩的激光雕刻机。

Here are my several attempts to optimize the frames, some of which failed. My intention to do these trials is to strengthen structure and save some budget, so that you can make the machine with less efforts and money.

Step 5: (1代)Frame Drawing 机架图纸

以下是我优化后的机架图纸,总共有3种不同的机架设计

Step 6: (2代)拆解打印机——获取滑块和电机

平常大家使用的喷墨打印机非常便宜,也就300-500块,可换个喷头却要好几百

所以,我们身边有非常多由于喷头堵塞而不能使用的喷墨打印机 所以我就从废弃的喷墨打印机中获取滑块(图2),皮带(图3)和电机(图4,5),来制作2代机器

Step 7: (2代)My Second Generation Products -- Using Scrap Printer 我的第2代产品——采用报废打印机

因为我只有一个人在做,做第二代的时候就没有留下很多的制作过程的图片,这台是拆了报废的打印机和用一些没用的亚克力板搭建出来的

和1代采用了相同的控制电路,加大了机架和电机,就能够雕刻更大的东西

I didn't have a helper to take photos so not many pictures are taken.

This time I reused a printer and some acrylic slats.

Using the same electronics as the first version of the machine, the difference is that the second one has bigger footprint and larger carving area.

Step 8: Engraving Software 雕刻软件

为了让更多的人能够做属于自己的雕刻机,
特意写了一个雕刻软件,方便大家使用

无毒的,可以放心下载,但是可能杀毒软件会报毒, 因为是自己写的吧- - (QQ328993914出品)

Step 9: Manufactured Products 制作的成品

可以刻挺多东西的,塑料,木板,纸张,都不在话下

第一张图片是在纸上打印图片,比起打印机,他对纸张大小,形状,材质没有要求,更为方便

第二张图片是在木板上打印,第三张图片则是在水笔外壳上打印

There are many options for materials on this machine. So plastic, plywood, paper and some other materials are suitable.

In the first picture an image is printed on a piece of paper. You don't even have to use good printer's paper to "print" something like this. In the second and third picture are engraves on wooden slats and on a shell of a fountain pen.

Step 10: Using Laser Engraving Machine and Electric Carving Metal Corrosion 利用激光雕刻机+电腐蚀 雕刻金属

不仅只是刻纸张木头,运用些小技巧,先在金属表面贴上贴纸,再用激光雕刻机刻出要腐蚀的图形,通电电解。就可以雕刻金属

自己做pcb也是可以的,原理是一样的,使用盐酸+过氧化氢或者三氯化铁进行腐蚀即可

Besides wood and paper, with some etching techniques, this engraver could also engrave metals. It is also possible to make PCBs.

Step 11: Use of Laser Carving Machine 利用激光雕刻机刻各种贴纸

比如墙贴,窗花,开关贴,也都是可以刻的,这是其中的一个贴纸的雕刻过程

To cut sstickers is also a good application.
