Step 2: Cutting the Balloon

Picture of Cutting the Balloon

the first thing you need to do is cut the balloon right around the neck of it maybe a little lower sorry no picture for the whole balloon

Step 3: Cut the Bottle

Picture of Cut the Bottle

your going to need to cut the soda bottle right near the top as close as you can to the opening below the circle rim look on the picture its below the screw on area thats as close as i was able to get

Step 4: Assembly

Picture of Assembly

1.after you have the bottle top and the balloon after it has been cut its time to start assembly*yay* first you'll need to take the balloon and stretch it over the screw on piece of the bottle top put it down to the rim as in the first photo
2.take the rubber band around where the balloon meets the soda bottle and start twisting and wrapping the rubber band around it took me five wraps to make sure the rubber band is tightly wrapped around the balloon in picture two
3. opitional put some flour or some baby powder inside the balloon and swish it around it helps make sure the balloon dosen't stick to itself

Step 5: Using, Loading

Picture of Using, Loading

to use your bb gun put some type of pebble size thing into the balloon grab onto the soda bottle around where the rubber band is pull back the balloon while grabbing the ammo at the same time aim and shoot at something

Hello, and welcome to the Instructables community! It's great that you've decided to tell the world about something you've made by publishing an Instructable. We just wanted to let you know that your project still needs a little more work if you want it to be well received on Instructables. Projects that don't include certain basic elements tend not to get the attention that they deserve, and so we'd love for you to check out the list below of what makes a successful Instructable. Successful projects on Instructables include: - clearly written details of a finished project with instruction - as many steps as are necessary to explain your project - clear images that you took of your project for most, if not all of your steps - an intro image - proper spelling and grammar - appropriate cautions or safety considerations I'll give you another opportunity to make any final changes to your project before we publish it. Once you're all set to go, please republish your project and send me a quick comment letting me know that you've made some changes. I'll give it a quick final check to make sure you're on the right path, and then remove this note. Thanks for your submission and we hope to see your project published soon!

Hi there NN. A cool little shooter for sure. Further to the comments by noahw and GorillazMiko, some punctuation would go a long way towards making the 'ible' easier to read and understand. Thanks for sharing!

professorPyro (author)2009-09-01

theyre called joey guns

~Aeronous~ (author)2009-07-25

it probably would have been better if u told me the disclaimer at the start, not the end. :(

crayzclown1 (author)2009-04-28

i use latex glove fingers, they can delever more power

skidoo (author)2009-01-30

Isn't this just a slingshot, or am I missing something?

heatblast (author)2008-06-12

these are cool, but the only problem with the baloons is that they're made of thin rubber so you pretty much have to be careful, otherwise it will rip. anyway, cool gun!!! very nice indeed. btw, if you stretch the baloon back far enough, it's capable of breaking an unused window, with a ball-bearing!!

ToshiroKakuzu (author)heatblast2008-08-19

if u blow thw ballon up a few times it will be come bigger and easier to shoot

yea but u should sprinkle some powder on the inside so w/e moister thats left gets taken out from ur breath

nightninja87 (author)heatblast2008-06-14

actually if u used those party balloons it actually is really strong have u ever blown a party balloon till it exploded? they get very big they have a very good last even though there thin

Ghetto Gun Maker (author)2008-11-02

tacopsp (author)2008-03-12

nice work , I made one of these once, when i was a small kid , but we called a bean shooter , because we would shoot beans out of it lol

nightninja87 (author)tacopsp2008-03-14

yea we used to do the same but i named it a bb gun cause someone called something similar to this a bb gun i thought it seemed a little more better to call it a bb gun since now i use it for bbs thx for the positive critcism

Tigger46 (author)2008-01-21

Hey Nightninja, Thanks for the great project. I love being able to build something from relatively nothing. And to use creative thought. Thanks

nightninja87 (author)Tigger462008-01-21

your welcom and i hope i can figure more cheap easy things to submit

GorillazMiko (author)2008-01-16

Awesome, me and my friends do this all the time. You should write with the real words more though, instead of having you as "u", or know as "know", or please as "plz". As noahw wrote, you should edit it up. And also, you should leave some of the bottle still attached. It makes it easier to load them in, and you can put more too. ;-)

noahw (author)GorillazMiko2008-01-17

Hey GorillazMiko - those are some great tips about language to give authors. I fully second your suggestions. Thanks!

GorillazMiko (author)noahw2008-01-17

No noahw, thank you! ;-) Haha.

yea ill get to that i was trying to get it out when i was busy so ill fix it up but the extra of the bottle is a good idea but usually if your not using anything but a knife or scissors you will have to stop and leave some of the bottle wich in my picture you can see that theres extra bottle still on i made that one about 2 years ago still works like a beauty just the balloon and the rubber band might need to be changed thank you for the comment
